I assembled my Master Grade Heavyarms Gundam yesterday. I still haven't painted or detailed any of my sets because I'm terrified I'd just ruin them

Spray paint the runners before you assemble. Then just touch up with a brush on the sprue cuts.
I use a d5100 to take pictures. I just don't have a back drop display.

Is it possible to get a smooth surface with enamel paint when applied with a brush?
Well, I fixed Niku! It's a bit loose but as long as I don't put any pressure on it like ever it should be fine.
One problem though... I managed to glue the (into hair) connector piece in the wrong way round so the thing only sits in the hair when it's upside down. That's fine with me though I guess. I really should have checked :/. She looks so much better with the hair clip <3.

Going by my own experience, not without a lot of detail sanding. It's better to use an airbrush.

Alisa from God Eater Burst, a PSP game.
I'm not a fan of Aegis at all, she's easily one of my least favorite characters in the Persona games, and this new figure is just awful. Not every damn character needs to be turned into a maid, Japan. Glad I'm not tempted to buy all her figures, because there sure are a ton of them. But make a nice Yukari and I'll preorder that day 1.
I just realized this was in the game, but it's still awful.

Hey guys, I was browsing AmiAmi the other day and saw "Tentative Pre-order" as the status on some items. What does it mean exactly?
Usually it just means you've got a pre-order but it's ever so slightly possible they may not get enough stock to fill all the orders. I've ordered loads of tentative stuff and got it all, so I may be wrong.

Massive picture post... Hot Toys Captain America (Avengers Ver.) is shaping up very nicely.
Comes with unmasked head sculpt too. Not bad at all.
I'm planning on collecting the entire Avengers ensemble from Hot Toys. Everything looks great so far.. Nick Fury, Hawkeye, and this. New Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man, and Hulk to reveal. I wonder how are they going to make Hulk?

Mmm.. I wasn't a fan of the head sculpt though. This one has an extra head which is kind of where the bumped up price comes from. -_-

Some people go to the extreme of using doll hair, but you can't mold it properly a lot of times cuz of weight. Plus, you can't make 1/6 hairstrands. I think sculpted hair looks best for this format right now. Btw those pictures are pretty big. It's harder to see the hairs details in person when it's pretty much black and you're not staring at it up close all the time.

These came today. I did something really stupid and dropped Sena and managed to snap her hair clip down the middle and away from the peg that keeps it in. I went out to get some plastic glue and I have it all drying downstairs. I still can't believe I was stupid enough to pick up the sofa Yozora and Sena were sat on to move it. She just fell straight off and broke her hair clip. Looks weird without it. I hope I can fix it.
What's the figure in the middle? The tall one.

So this was the Christie Monteiro figure I received 2 weeks ago and returned because it had scratches on her left foot and some weird plastic on the butt:
This were my old figure that I returned, which seems to have the right brunette color.
This is the new one, I tried getting the same angle for comparison.
Today I received a brand new one (in the same packaging I sent them, wtf? It wasn't even closed with tape, so it could have been opened) and now it turns out this one has an extremely loose ponytail on the brink of falling off and a color that makes her more "blonde" (she's pretty light instead of tanned) than brunette... This is tiring, guess I have to return it a second time. =/
You see her white neck behind her ear?
What are your thoughts guys?
