I was wondering why such a generic thread had so many responses. Awesome. :lol
 
I don't know a lot about who is the phone. I've seen it in comics, and written jokes over on 4chan. I think it's a parody of the often used plot device in sitcoms and bad movies.

The girl should have dumped his ass when he told her. In this case her cheating might be actually the result of that, like a poster here said (looks like my answer doesn't apply here at all).

There is no might in this case. It is a result, no question. A case of good girl gone bad. If he hadn't have told her then she'd be a bitch for doing it but now she's vindicated.

She's gonna come home and just be like "HOW DOES IT FEEL PUNK?".

This is as big a generalization as the "women are whores who deserve to be punched" undercurrent in this thread. People cheat for various reasons regardless of the length of a relationship.

I was going to post to say no luck man, that sucks and make sure you have the emails and especially make sure you have emptied the joint account before she does.

And then PLOT TWIST and I'm sitting here with a beer f5ing waiting for the inevitable. This is amazing.
 
Never have I seen a joke be introduced to the general forum population, be deemed funny, and jump the shark all within two pages. :lol I wish I could go back to better days (read: two pages ago) when "whos the phone" was still funny, but the last couple of comics posted ruined it for me. :/

Perhaps in a week or two, when someone uses the phrase very cleverly in a completely unrelated thread, my interest and amusement will be revived.


EDIT: the "bricks will be shat" pic above made me laugh, so I guess "WHO WAS PHONE?" still has legs if used properly. :D

I want you to take my advice above, and re-write all the bits that say 'SHE' and 'HER' and replace them with 'HE' or 'HIM'. Then travel back in time, and give it to your girlfriend just after you cheated on her.

Your anger and outrage are double standards, tremendously self-centered and the words of a hypocrite. I was wrong to feel sorry for you.

I will endeavour to be more cynical in the future.
