Ghost of Tsushima vs Ghost of Yōtei | Final Gameplay Graphics Comparison

C'mon man. granted, the game looks good and it uses the ps5 tech, (SSD, better draw distance, RTGI for a few bounces, grass and leaves blowing, etc). When i think of a generational leap i think for example in TLOU (ps3) vs TLOU part 2 (Ps4) when ps3 has pre rendered cut scenes and ps4 has real time, or Gow 2 vs Gow 3 ( all great goodlooking games by the time of release by the way), or you know, the use of physically based rendering and materials was huge last gen. I was expecting a lot more of RT use by this time in the generation. For me, (at this date and with a few exceptions Demon's Soul's, cough cough) PS5 Sony exclusives all are better looking PS4 games in my eyes, (there is nothing wrong with that, has you said we got better resolution and better framerates alonside)
Fair enough. I just think many just have unrealistic expectations on this gen consoles if four times resolution, RTGI, more dynamic, larger scale world with better LOD and view distances, better assets, volumetric clouds etc is not "enough". Yeah, I get it that GoY has shitty water, lacks ragdoll etc, and I was the first to bash those bland looking weapon trailers... but man, did the DF presentation in 4k HDR on my 83" OLED change my mind. Maybe I'm just sucker for the art and... don't care about the normal looking middle aged female protagonist. Shrug, who knows?

The hatred for this game makes 0 sense and I continue to be baffled by the ridiculous takes people are making when it comes to this game.
It's not hate for this game, how could you possibly hate a game you'll never even play ? What we're really dealing with here are the comments of obsessed fanboys with the maturity level of an 11-year-old schoolgirl.

I literally posted the video...and you decided to post still pictures from said video to do what? It's a videogame. You are supposed to see and play it in motion lmao. Pretending you did something here makes no sense.
You're absolutely right, the best way to see the remarkable improvement is simply to sit down and watch the video. But hey, I guess that's a task way too advanced for some individuals…

Because it looks like a shitty upgrade that could easily be a DLC for the original game. We know it is made by woke activist who will no doubt throw their bullshit into the game. We know at the end of the day it is going to be an average game at best. Girl boss love fest

The next game in the series that will be on the PlayStation 6.

How the game looks explains that budget.

I think Sony limited them to have more money on (failed) GaaS projects. They at least could gave them access to Decima...

I think you may be correct. But isn't there a lesson to learn here also? What if this game makes $300 million in revenue in the first 2 years at an average price of $50 per game (yes, meaning they sold 6 million units in the first 2 years)?

How could that be seen as anything but a success (considering some of their normal budget went to failed GAAS projects)?

You have working eyes. That's the difference between you and some others on GAF.

Why would any of us care about how much money Sony is making?

I want the game to be great. I want the game to be a big leap over the first game. The rest I couldn't care less about.

Some of us actually care about the video game industry, along with having fun playing these games.

You don't seem to care about the industry when it's someone other than Sony not making money.

Ummmm......it's the main reason why I hate GamePass. It's an industry killer. Plus I always root for Nintendo and the path they have chosen over the last 10 years due to those choices being great for the industry (for the most part).

The game looks really pretty, but most of the improvements don't really stand-out for me. Mainly just wish the gameplay changed more, or the story had some kind of hook.

Best parts are just simply the graphics being more reactive like the leaves and other particle effects reacting to running through them, or the mark through the grass based on the arc of your blade stroke.

Most the takes are just that it looks like a DLC that doesn't add enough meaningful to get that excited over. I watched the gameplay showcase, and nothing changed for me. I literally look at this like the Horizon sequel, which was fine, but I waited until it was discounted.
