The issue is that for the story to be well paced you need to go after

first. I think the game was designed with this in mind, but they wanted freedom so you can also go another route first but it clearly isn't the right choice since it creates some difficult gameplay segments and terrible pacing. The combat and upgrade system is super rewarding though. It is also a very chill game and it is fun to hang out with Atsu and just clear the map.

You're not wrong, but I appreciate the fact that the game still lets the player choose & discover organically.

Do you have a Pro? If so, RT Pro is still the best mode (full RT + 60). RT Balanced @ 40 fps reduces resolution.

I thought the RT Pro mode removed some form of RT or lowered the resolution in some way.

Nope. Just PSSR from a lower resolution, which often looked sharper than the other modes. No compromises outside of some minor texture artifacts on some cloth.

Not true. The other RT modes were added for the base console.

Performance/Balanced/Quality are all no RT, and just change resolution to influence framerate.

RT/RT Balanced/RT Pro all have identical RT features but again change resolution to target framerate. RT and RT Pro are identical visually except framerate. RT balanced runs the same lower res as non-RT performance mode.

Maybe you mean 40 fps balance mode increase the resolution? Because otherwise it's completely pointless.
