Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Beta Thread of key begging

I just played the mill on 360 and the framerate feels like it dips below 20, not good at all. I know people are going to say beta an all but I doubt they will fix that. Decent graphics > framerate for way too many devs.

Glad to see that the early beta smell is wearing off and people are realising how Insanely overpowered the rifleman class is. At this point there's pretty much no need to use anything else. Grenades are borderline nukes and the maps favour the Assault rifles all round performance.

Yeah, I was fooled there a minute myself. I would argue more than half of my deaths were by grenade at this point (and rising).

The vanilla AR's aren't too overpowered... but as soon as you have 2-3 attachments that reduce recoil, they immediately become laser rifles. Add in the fact the class has a thermonuclear frag and suddenly there is no reason to play other classes. Obviously, the AR's need a nerf. (this is the problem with unlocks, they always ruin balance!)

But the real problem right now is the frag. It's just too OP. Ridiculously so.

Take them out of the game.

Also... I'm incredibly worried about the late game unlocks. Look at the progression chart. Most of that stuff spells trouble imo.

This is another modern game that uses an unlock system to punish new players and reward veterans who shouldn't need advantage.

The first day of beta... no one had shit and the matches (apart from frags) were very fun. Game felt tactical. Most of my time with it today feels more twitch and the unlocks are rearing their ugly heads. I'm back on the fence with this one for now.

Anyone else not dig the reticule / cross-hair in this game? I thought the one in GRAW 1/2 worked much better and felt more satisfying. Also don't really like the iron sight option.

I still prefer the ENG. Intel > everything.

The frags do need more of a delay though.

That's what's good about this game though. Weapon balancing doesn't need a patch, they can update it on the fly.

I will always miss the classic ghost recon crosshair :)

But this one doesn't really bother me... the iron sights are hit or miss. What I don't really like much are the CQB optics.

Agreed with everything.

So do I, my rifleman class is still at level 0 whilst I've hit 5 with the other two, but from a purely balance perspective they're completely outgunned. Good to hear about the balancing, this game definitely needs it.

Anyone that has unlocked the M416 know if you can get a burst trigger for it?

People are actually complaining about riflemen?
Scout has a sniper and turns nearly invisible(not moving)
if there are any maps more open its going to be much worse than bush wookies.

You know if frags (that had a short delay before detonation) landing at your feet were insta kills... that doesn't seem too bad. And if the next foot or two took you off your feet with half damage, that seems fair too. And the next foot or two just took you off your feet with 20ish % damage, even that seems ok.

In a game like this, frags should be a way to flush people out. Not annihilate an entire goddamn fireteam. haha

And you should have some time to react. The only time the controls in this game feel clunky to me is when a frag drops in my lap.

I don't know. I find the PDW with an emphasis on control to be pretty brutal.

I REALY like this game but this beta has serious problems with matchmaking.
I must almost always quit to dashboard after one or two matches because it getting stuck on loading screen or elsewhere.
I hope it will be fixed in retail because playing this is so much fun.

I'm glad I'm not alone with this. Because frankly I love pretty much everything else. The gadgets are fun and promote movement instead of simple camping and hiding, the maps, with the exception of the spawns are actually quite amazing. Pipeline in particular would be an outstanding map if they would fix Bodarks spawn.

The unlocks will probably turn this game into a freaking thermonuclear war.

And I disagree, even the standard ARs without any addons have pinpoint accuracy. It's ridiculous and a far cry from how the old GRAW handled the ARs. Hell even snipers weren't a 100% accurate.

What's more perplexing though is that unlike the Sniper and the pistol, ARs have little to no sway when strafing or walking. Hell even hip firing is pretty much more effective than an smg as it is a lot stronger as well.

I don't know, I really love the gameplay itself, but the weapons and unlocks seem extremely broken and devoid of thought to me. I mean, what happened here?

When I played the game last year at Gamescom, I never noticed the ARs being so insanely powerfull.

I get the sneaking suspicion that this game is going to be one of the worst competitive Tac Shooters in recent history. But thankfully they have guerilla and 4 player story coop in there, cause with this kind of balancing problems I can't see myself endure ranked matches in the final version.

What are they????
From the OP:

SPLINTER CELL: CONVICTION OWNERS: You will have automatic access to the beta from your Splinter Cell disc on the 19th - no keys needed. Note: Games On Demand version works as well.

Do the Russians' blue camo pants bug anyone else?
I don't know why it bothers me but it just looks stupid imo.

Doesn't bother me as much as their engineer's monstrous fucking backpack. The GR2 backpack that the GR community made fun of has returned!

"Hey, how did you see me!? I was prone behind this here log!"

Uh...

No.

Eng gets sensor grenades. Datahacks happen when you tazer someone then hold X over them. It's basically this games Tbag.

It happened to me just once... I felt violated and ashamed. Worse than getting your throat slit.
