I can't believe I wasted so much time with Destiny. I got to lvl 26 iirc. and to hear Jeff and Brad be as enthusiastic as they are is simply astounding.

Not worth 20 dollars nor 35 for both.

I'm not a fan of Destiny at all, but the hate that game gets is laughable. Brad is saying that he likes the game, but it's heavily flawed (he said that it was a 3 or a weak 4 star game for him on a Bombcast), and says that this expansion is light on content. And for that he's in full Destiny defense mode or whatever? Come on.

And yeah, Brad's in full-on "Destiny Defense" mode during the QL... for some reason.

The one thing that gets me about Dark Below is Might of Crota. It's totally a ripoff of the Omega Pirate from Metroid Prime. He's got the same sort of giant size and attacks, except he lacks the near-absolute immunity to ranged weaponry that OP had.

Destiny is a heavily flawed game that is weird because it's also incredibly good on the shooting and mechanics side. It's a great shooter in a poor RPG. Brad has never been a big defender of Destiny. He would always agree with it's faults, just that he still enjoyed it despite the faults. I enjoyed it for a while though I didn't last anywhere near as long as Brad and never got to the raid.

I wonder how hard Dan had to fight to get that on GI considering they wouldn't let him do the roller coaster video there and he made it sound like they turned down a lot of his ideas.

The sad thing is that the length of the quick look is about how look it takes to get through the main story content in the DLC. lol

I think updating the GOTY thread will be the only thing I'll do during GOTY week, as far as GB threads are concerned, because BOY.

I like how people criticise their "negativity" when discussing an inherently discursive medium (as if they have to be brain-dead and like everything) by generating real negativity aimed towards people with opinions (instead of simply disagreeing with those opinions).

Also curious how these people lead real life discussions.

You should go back reading a few threads on different forums when Jeff was fired from GS. So much gloating by people who hated one opinion or another.

I can't remember the last time I was so aggressively disinterested in a Giant Bomb video that I closed the page before the intro sound finished. Destiny is the worst things to happen to video games since Bobby Kotick stopped selling mac and cheese.

Man itunes on Windows is fucking garbage, i was trying to add the sphere cast to my ipad mini but it wouldn't even recognize the device and was asking to restore it to the factory settings, fuck that shit. I finally used syncios to great success, looking forward to listening it.

Destiny seems like a game with very good mechanics but poor surrounding elements - poor story, poor depth etc.

At least it freaking worked out of the gate, though, and there weren't week long periods where you couldn't play it. Not sure why everyone is so offended by it.

Direct your hate towards Ubisoft. Towards 343. Towards Drive Club.

I think there's quite enough hate being directed at those targets. You can also save a bit of it for a game that promised everything under the sun, and then only delivered the Moon.
