I know I'm a cynic, but I don't think that there's even a .1% return on "bullying is bad, you shouldn't do it" actually making somebody stop. There's no real benefit to spending a huge amount of time and energy writing blog posts about it when it won't reach the people that need to change.

If you want change, take it to Twitter. Pressure them to revamp their abusive behavior policy (read: actually implement one). Pressure individual web communities to clamp down on it.

Talking on your own website or blog about it is just spitting into the wind.

Yeah, to talk about this in general, since I don't know if everyone's aware of this: Twitter's reporting policy is terrible. If you want to report for anything other than "spam", you have to fill out an extensive report explaining exactly what's wrong with the tweet, for each individual person. And you can't even report it as harassment unless it's directed at you. So basically the intended way you're supposed to go about things is to painstakingly report every single person that's harassing you (and more people will likely continue to harass you as you're doing this) and hope that something's done about it eventually, with the only practical way to deal with anything being hoping that enough people block and report the harassers as spam accounts that Twitter notices and bans them, at which point anyone dedicated enough just goes and makes a new account. The reporting for spam method is also a threat to anyone being harassed thanks to that mysterious unexplained element of why anyone's actually banned for it, since given that you have to essentially abuse the option to get anything done, there's always that fear that it could just as easily be used against you as a form of harassment and you'd be banned through it as well. Combine that with Twitter fiddling with blocks to make them less effective every so often, and you can see why people aren't exactly happy with how they deal with these things.

I feel like there should be more music playing during the missions instead of that almost dead silence they've got instead (unless that is due to the recording setup).

There's nothing interesting on the site.

Where's mah Metal Gear ER ?

People keep saying ER.

It's not going to be an ER!

An ER is, by definition, a series in which a new video goes up every workday.

The Metal Gear thing is going to be a playthrough akin to Breaking Brad and VinnyVania where a video will go up once or twice a week.

ERs are dead. This new format of full playthrough is the future.

CounterSpy is definitely invoking Shadow Complex, which I'm into, but it seems a little shootier than I'd like from a stealth-action game. If there were more ways to maneuver and distract people I think that'd be really cool, but then I guess that's hard to do with 2D randomly-generated levels.

Is there a podcast where they discuss Deadly Premonition while the ER is going on? Or a post-ER podcast where they all talk about their thoughts on the game?

Uh, no. When you "endure" something, you interact with it to the end. So an "Endurance Run" is playing a game to completion. So that would be the litteral definition of the expression. They don't need to post daily videos of their playthroughs.

I don't really care how they call it. I just want to watch it. Although it would please me if they did call it an ER.

Do we have all Giantbomb Unarchived stuff already? That's sweet.

IF you guys are bored, I was messing around with a script that I made that would scrape information from Twitch pages (that wasn't very useful for you guys, because Giantbomb stuff wasn't properly named on Twitch) and I managed to do this:

All "Random Encounters", a show hosted by Danny O'Dwyre. His "Hatoful Boyfriend" series (I think there's 3 shows) is very well known.

There's only one quality available for most (if not all) of them, so they're an easy JDownloader grab-all job. There's only a couple with incomplete files, and most of them don't even have Danny in it (so I wouldn't even bother with those). I'm pretty sure this is the entire thing pasted into JDownloader2 Download List file for easy import - I had to run the page four times to gather all the links properly.

I don't think Gamespot uploads full Random Encounters to youtube (I can only see highlights) and I don't know if they archive them on the website (I don't really care about them). The entire set seems to be around 180gigs and, like I said, Danny isn't in all of them.

I also made this, which is all of the Gamespot videos on twitch. Watch out, that has files all the way from 2012. It's a long list (with thumbnails for easier recognition).

The only one I can think of that's of any value (imo) is the "Giant Bomb and Comic Vine are joining the CBSi Team!", but I'm sure that's been archived a million times on youtube already.

Sorry I couldn't help on the Giantbomb project - like I said about three times in this thread already, my Media HDD fried last month and I still didn't replace it, so I don't have any storage space to spare.

Wow, thanks. I'm in the process of uploading Danny's Random Encounter and your script helped me find some of the ones I'm missing.

Also, am I the only one saving these? I have a few videos that are missing parts and I'm wondering if anyone here has saved them in full.

The only time I think they discussed it was on a goty podcast for best character that year, and even then they didn't really discuss the game all that much. I think it was the 2010 goty podcasts.

After 4 years of being a "normal" member of Giant Bomb, I finally decided to aquire a premium access. I'm looking forward to tons of content I missed all these years.

Counterspy has a neat look to it but I don#t think the gameplay looks all that compelling and I actually like stealth games.

Yeah, doesn't look like it plays that well. There's definitely some style over substance going on in the game, with the camera transitions when coming out from a vent etc.

i wonder if Jeff actually listens to the 8-4 bombcast. I'm pretty sure they just said blitzball was awesome.

I doubt it. doesn't sound like much of a podcast guy. I think Brad is the only one who mentioned listening.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzi6bHz5w18 is both of them rapping, right? It's a pretty cool song too, with questionable lyrics :P

I think the third guy rapping (along with Jeff and Ryan) is someone else but the guy doing the spoken bit near the end sounds like Brendan. The spoken bit from "in the can" is definitely him. He always seems to be listed as "hype man" in credits.

I'm pretty sure Alex is the third person rapping.

Hopefully they'll do something on Hatoful Boyfriend when it comes out, Danny's Random Encounters of it were mental. Even if it's just played a little during UPF I'd love to see some of the guys play it.

Who will do the Madden quicklook? I think this might be my first madden I have bought since Vick was on the cover (old College/HS friends getting the PS4 version)
