So is there a reason why no one like GB or Gamespot are streaming on twitch this year?

Giant Bomb's back-up site has been YouTube for years. It only makes sense to put live stuff there, as well.

That's my take on it, at least.

IIRC there was a technical reason where they removed a feature (password protected streams) that helped GB with the premium stuff.

And i guess the stability plus familiarity since the QLs are also sent to Youtube now

They will still show the conference on the youtube stream, it'll be most of the window once it starts but the audio will be pretty quiet. If you want both, Giantbomb.com/chat has the stream clean from Gamespot. Presumably that can also be found on Gamespot.
