i don't see how SFV is a hotter mess than MM9. i mean, at least you get a good game, a game that has improved since launch and will continue to improve. like, who would stand up for MM9 after the poor game, terrible kickstarter and continued screw ups (like making another kickstarter)?

I don't know how the hell you put a rootkit on peoples computers and not end up top 3 on this list and that's on top of a bunch of other stuff. The fact that it's two big Street Fighter/fighting game fans calling for it says a lot.

Despite the fact that Dan was basically silent during the Hottest Mess category, I think him and Alex could be really good foils for one another at GB East. They both tend to hold pretty strong opinions about the games industry and if they challenge other a bit, I think we could get some really good discussions out of it.

I've been thinking #4-6 for it, but having Jeff firmly on its side is a big help. I'd love to see it beat some of the AAA darlings and make their top 3.

I need to pick up picross. I'm really struggling with whether to include The Witness on my personal list or not, on one hand there are a lot of good puzzles, especially when puzzle types are combined and the ramp up when learning a new puzzle type to a more complex puzzle; however, I think the whole isolationist ivory tower philosophy and the forced perspective puzzles weren't so much a logic to figure out, just a viewpoint to enforce. A lot of the puzzles end up with very quick solutions once you know the rule set as well.

42 mins in Holiday Specialtacular 2016: Hitsmas and I'm blown away how someone who has played enough of the game to get Mastery in 1-2 levels can't kill Dalia with a knife is under 10 mins even if the pressure is on because having to talk and play in front of people.
