I just don't think the best moment of The Witness is all that good. It's what convinced me that I was done with the game. It also doesn't seem that crazy or nuts. It makes sense that the game does that or else the island has no purpose.

Doom was robbed.

Same. In some ways I can pick and choose elements from both to piece together the ultimate Mass Effect. Because I feel they're almost inverse in their successes and failures.

Say, Mass Effect 2 combat is better, but the the environments have that cover shooter thing going on where you talk into a room of chest high walls and know it's going down. Mass Effect 1 had combat that could go off wherever.

I agree on it not being very crazy. I think it's very obvious it exists if one just thinks about the game for like a minute.

I simply don't understand the people who pooh-pooh ME2 and hold ME1 as better. ME2 is waaaaaay better in terms of gameplay AND story. I have a feeling the sins of the garbage pile that was ME3 somehow tainted people's memories of ME2, which isn't right.

ME2 was the game where it became clear that they weren't going to deliver on any of the choices you were making throughout the series.

Choices that seemed like a huge deal in ME1 got reduced to an email or a random conversation with some guy saying "hey remember me? I was one of the people you saved on [planet]. Thanks for that!" The shooting was better, but it was still a really mediocre third person shooter when you compare it to other games in that genre at that time.

I really enjoyed it at the time, but it also made me realize that trilogy was never going to live up to the expectations I had after finishing ME1. I never even played ME3 because of that.

I'm not even sure what that means. There are a few small callbacks to previous games, but that's about it.

Furi's
soundtrack is half the fun of the game. Not to mentions gets you pumped up at appropriate moments.

You have to play
Furi too. The music matches the rhythm of the fights.
So it's not only a great soundtrack, it's also effective. Much like Thumper.

I'm also just realizing now that Dark Souls 3 hasn't been mentioned at all for anything.

Neither has Dishonored 2. Or Deus Ex.

Everytime I read Overwatch and "TF2" in the same sentence my brain puts Team Fortress 2 there and I have remind myself Titanfall 2 came out this year.
