Do you really think Jamie and Adam have the time to do a video review of the latest gadget or gizmo? I have a feeling that the amount of video content that have Will+Norm will be exponentially higher than Jamie+Adam.
Tested.com was a very, very niche site with a small audience.
And that's what made it great. Too bad in the real world you can't make money at it.
The tested forums sounds like it's filled with a bunch of babies right now.
I think +- 1 mil visitors a month is not such a small audience :O.What else did you expect? Tested.com was a very, very niche site with a small audience.

I do not really like the website yet.
Text is a little harder to read and the layout does not really make a lot of sense yet.
but will figure it out.

Exactly why there should have been a bit more foresight as to how the site's community might react to such a big focus change, even if it's good change. I'm not touching those discussions, but ideally I would think they'd want to foster a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers, not a bunch of 'wtf is this' in the comments from people shellshocked at just how forcefully Will + Norm's body of work was co-opted.Tested forums are hilarious at the moment. Dozens of threads saying "This all sucks"
A new guy finding this site now and seeing "RIP Tested" as the first thing in the forums is a lovely thought.
I just glanced at the forums and it is absolutely atrocious design wise. I can't make heads or tales of the posts.
Who is BermanBraun anyway?
They seem to be a TV production company that is getting into more web stuff?
Investors are Adam and Jamie themselves, IIRC from talks about the company yesterday.
The listed partners (with bios) on BermanBraun.com are Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun.
Well the whole thing is handled pretty terrible, just slapping Jamie and Adams names and faces everywhere and having them say stuff like "Welcome to our new site" and "We finally got our own site" was obviously not going to go down well with the already existing fan base. Also doesn't help that the whole site now looks terrible and they apparently can't even swear anymore which will no doubt also close down a lot of the other absurdities on the podcast and stuff like that.
I liked tested quite a lot but... Yeah don't think I can be too bothered with them if that is the direction they are heading, good luck to Norm and Will, but if that was giantbomb that had a change like this I would also be acting like a little baby on their forums and what not.
I don't think I understand the less than enthusiastic reception of Kleptok. He is a pretty cool guy.

Giantbomb was the biggest site in Whiskey Media, significantly so. Tested is in a completely different situation.
The people in the forums are embarrassing Will and Norm as well as themselves.
Works for me, thanks for the tip. I had no idea they were only $10 now.Don't know about you, but that Whiskey Media roller coaster shirt with all the guys on it is lookin' pretty good to grab right now off the WM store. And I bet it's going to sell fast.
Edit: Yeah I'm an idiot, it's the small sizes they have and everything else is sold.

Yep, I got my Whiskey Media roller coaster shirt when they announced the premium membership on the first Big Live Live Show.I got mine when I first signed up (FIRST 5000 REPRESENT) and finally used my $15 coupon code yesterday to get my bomb shirt.
Perhaps, but I think they would care about folks that supported them for 2 years, many with cash money. Immature internet ranting is bad form and I don't like it, but I also don't think they were as honest as they could have been as to how the new Tested was going to be presented and run. Could have been a smoother transition. They don't care. In two days this will all have blown over. They know that.

No, they can make it bigger. That's fine. Teaming up with Mythbusters? Awesome. Giving it a broken, awful looking redesign then calling it "Jamie and Adam's Tested" is bullshit.

Why would they care about premium members who have already paid them, and presumably CAN'T pay them any more in the future, since there is going to be no more premium membership on tested I assume?
