Dude was complainin at other dude for not going up on street an talkin to Patrick as if he knows him. I think people who are into that kind of thing are weird and annoying, and Im sure they appear that way to the (very minor in this case)celebrity on the other end.

Except Patrick himself just told the guy that he should've said hi and didn't say it would've annoyed the fuck out of him.

Would you do this to a stranger on a street? You dont know these guys, you just think you do cos youve seen some of their vids. You were definitely enjoying talking to them alot more than they were to you. So why are you giving this guy s for not doing this creepyness.

wut.

PAX is a fan event. They go there fully anticipating to interact with fans and they welcome it.

Say hi next time, that's why we're there! Just be forewarned:
I might put a plastic bag over your head and kill you.

.

with all this awesome content they are making this week i might not even have time to look at the shitty user questions pax panel video.

OH WAIT

I was on my way walking to PAX on Saturday, getting excited for the Kojima panel, when Kleppick walks out in front of me.

I unintentionally stalked <half a block> behind him all the way to the convention, but didn't want to bother him and be 'that annoying guy' before the shitstorm that is a convention.

Why are we all ignoring the fact that this person was creepily following Kleppick? He even makes it a point to say "half a block" and "unintentional" which makes it clear that it was way more than that and VERY intentional.

I can't tell if this is serious. I can't tell if any of the comments that discussed Lastflowers seeing Patrick are serious; well at least not the ones saying how strange and creepy it is for a person to courteously approach another person and start a conversation.

Amen, brother.

They really need to up their content output if they want everyone to resubscribe for another year. Where's our Orcs Must Die 2 QL, god damnit?

I'm paid through 2014.

Jeff killed it on the panal, it was great, loved the entire thing

Yeah he was on fire. When Jeff is pumped his enthusiasm is infectious and hilarious. They really need to come up with a show that capitalizes on that. The best example were the old Happy Hours. Everyone shat on them because of Comic Vine and whatnot, but you had a lot of great moments reminiscent of the panel.

Human interactions are some creepy stuff, man.

Dudes, what's going on? No Quick Looks still? No Ratchet? No Orcs Must Die 2? No Mark of the Ninja? Walking Dead Ep 3?

I'm gonna chalk it up to the Big Live Live Show planning. I would never even consider giving up my membership, but it does feel weird that they're going to do that promotional event amidst still spinning their wheels in the mud for the last six months. Er... nine months?

They know their members feel like this, which is exactly why they know they can get away with it.

I hope the talk of Magic Carpet in the Bombcast results in a Magic Carpet TNT. Or make it a premium video. Hell, let Vinny play and it can be part of Flight Club.

They aren't like that. The BLLSL3 has got to be the launch point of returning content and new stuff though. The site is close to being finished so I think Dave and many of them will be able to fall back into doing that stuff.

Well, I only feel that way because I still feel fifty bucks ($35?) is totally worth it for the membership stuff we do get. I honestly would have paid it for half the stuff we've gotten.

But I'm talking about non-membership content. No Quick Looks all week is pretty weak.

They have this on their coming soon box, which is scheduled a day before the BLLSL 3.

[PREMIUM] - GB redesign demo with Dave and everyone

Hopefully this will free Dave up for more time making content.

People have been using excuses like that for over 6 months now. "But wait, I'm sure it's coming next month","They just moved in (sic) give them time to settle" etc etc... At some point enough is enough.

I'm with Duffy on that. Before wasting tons of money and time into a giant informercial (and let's be honest here, the whole thing is kinda useless since Whiskey doesn't exist anymore) start by proving that you have something worth a damn to sell in the first place.

Giantbomb has been going downhill for almost a year now (except the july/august podcast which were amazing) so it's a really tough sell IMO.

I think a lot of people will be considering hard if they want to re-sub this year, unfortunately.

Unless they change the pricing/premium perks it would make sense yeah. I mean the original pitch for suscribing was to support not just one but 4 more or less independent websites, so that they could doing their thing on their own. Now that it pays for one (albeit the biggest) that's owned by CBSi it's not as attractive a proposition.

I'd like to know how big a factor the subs were in the acquisition, if it one of or the main reason why CBS bought them, or if they just saw it as a nice bonus. In other words, if the subs were to drop significantly, what would happen to GB?

I would think that the recent influx of advertising would help lessen the blow of less subscribers.

Still, even though I personally feel ok about paying as a subscriber, I would like to see if they can generate enough incentive to resub next time with the BLLSL. I suspect the BLLSL and site redesign are the reasons why content is lacking. After next week there will be no more excuses.

I'm not giving an excuse. I really miss the premium content that has gone missing. I loved Random PC game but after the redesign there is no excuse so it surely has to return then.

Yeah sorry, wasn't meant as a poke at you, I just used your quote as an example of stuff we've been seeing for a while now here and on the GB's forum.

Yeah or..you know...the giant multi-national corporation that bought them.

I believe Jeff said that was one of the biggest reasons and that CBSi wanted to find a way to make that possible on all their sites.

Giant mult-national corporations don't want to own redundant sites that are not generating any income.
