Maybe they're in the minority or simply don't care (indifference isn't exclusive to either gender), but I find it interesting the disparity in their opinion as women in the actual games industry vs. women who write about the games industry.

She said they used porn star names at Neversoft, so I don't know how inaccurate the "people who write about it" is. Especially considering nearly everyone I know of that writes about the these issues writes about the tech industry in general. Including the press side of the industry. They all write from experience. Either male or female. I mean just go to a twitch or Giantbomb chat channel. Plenty of people were being rude to the women before they spoke.

I certainly think the site would benefit from having other female commentators address the issues on podcasts/live shows. In the first segment I feel like Paul detracted from the topic because he said that Carrie was a woman and didn't see these problems at all as though that resolved the issue. They should seek out women who've actually felt like they've been affected by sexism in the industry and the fans and expose their stances on their more popular formats rather than in text articles.

I say this as someone who loves them having Carrie and Paul on their casts.

Yeah you have Paul Barnett on the show quoting that terrible fucking Morgan Freeman quote for the masses that makes non-racists feel good, and racists feel even better. "Stop talking about it and it will go away!" Yeah Paul! You are so right! That's how we fix important shit!

I don't think so, unless you want to pay a stupid amount of money. I think you basically have to pay for a GDC pass to get access to the videos.
