Giant Bomb Thread #4: A thread of perceived slights

Don't worry, that's just a preliminary box. I found a picture of the real one and it has quotes from Giant Bomb on it.

That's more like it.

To paraphrase Chairman Mao: "Communities is poison".

Seriously. TNTs are more fun when the community is not involved (see the SNES TNT, Dead Island, Fortune Street vids. For those that listen to Retronauts, remember Retronauts Live? It was god awful, filled with people who were starstruck and could barely speak, asked stupid questions, tried (and failed) to be funny, and one guy who put his daughter on the phone so she could attempt to talk about Sonic (and Sonic has always sucked and Sonic fans are creep-os anyways... wait, don't get sidetrack on that!). Any discussion about mild or constructive criticism is always drowned out by idiots. Remember the Chrono Trigger Endurance Run thread where we all had the simple criticism that Ryan and Patrick slow down and READ the text so they knew where to go and what to do? NOPE. Let's focus all attention on the jackass that said they were "raping" his childhood.

In summation, be like Jeff and be jaded at everything...

But don't be a freak and ruin a steak by putting ketchup on it.

The guy who tried to hit on Dave's sister. what the fuck.

This panel felt more awkward than usual, but then again the insanity seemed to have tripled.

Felt like a giantbomb vaudeville show.

Just started on the panel, just wow at the people actually booing Klepek for being there. One thing is criticising how he conducts interviews or does some other things but being this target...

Ugh, when Ryan did that gross thing and Alex just had to direct some of the attention onto himself by running around like a complete tool. I really enjoy the articles he writes but he needs to be excluded from PAX panels, he has the most insufferable personality.

You can't truly experience the panel unless you're there in person. I'll freely agree that they don't translate to video very well at all.

Part of the appeal of them is the whole communal aspect of it all.

There is all kinds of magic happening right now.

I'm at the end of the pannel and Vinny is the only one who doesn't look to be suffering an existential crisis.

Haven't gotten more than 15 minutes into the panel but I can definitely agree with the vaudeville feel to it. Obviously, it's a different feel at the show, but I feel awkward just watching it for some reason!

Brad trolls all GOTY podcasts.

minerva's den never forget

Minerva's Den was the one time he was actually right to do it.

And even with Skyrim, the bigger problem was Ryan's poorly reasoned betrayal. Ryan was the reason that happened, and he didn't even seem to like Skyrim all that much.

As far as things to eat/drink on a dare go, breastmilk doesn't seem that bad.

Yeah, that was pretty dumb.

Yeah, that was pretty dumb.

There are worse things, but freshly squeezed breast milk from a random woman in the audience is sort of cringe worthy. I think the internet has just desensitized us about that kind of stuff though.

Besides, it was a great way to cap an old bit.

It seems highly unlikely Ryan actually drank breast milk. Just a little stunt to make the panel more interesting.

Any word if there's going to be more content out of PAX than just the panel and audio interviews?

With what Jeff said about wanting to freshen up their PAX coverage, will be disappointing if that's it.

Kris Hanson. This person may or may not at all be frostyxz.

Wow, that LinkdIn profile is total lame-sauce! Don't hire that guy for anything, amIright? Am... I... righ--

Sigh...

That's not quiet weeping into a George Harrison Realdoll™ you hear... it's just raining hard and my windows are made of silicone. Don't look at me!

With all of this Bioshock talk, I'm thinking of writing something about Space Quest. What? Why are you staring at me like that? They are essentially the SAME game! SPACE QUEST-a! BIOSHOCK-a! They nearly rhyme.

I'll take any topic suggestions, as well. It will be at... Zamblr? Dumblr? Ramblr? That site that should buy a friggin' vowel. You know which door to knock on.

How about that Humongous Torpedo website, eh? They so wacky with the drinking vitamin D straight from the bosom! The milk is free, but hiring the lactating lady of the night is priceless. Hey-ooooooo!

They're at GDC this week talking to developers about games they can't talk about yet.

Unfortunately Jeff's in the habit of saying a lot of things these days that never really pan out. Love the guy but those be the breaks.

I just finished part 1 of the panel. Started off a little slow so I had no idea where it was going, but oh my God...

I'm absolutely dying over here. I probably woke people up from laughing so hard.

I honestly thought they were sincerely going at it while covering it up as awkward funny burns.

I think he's coming at it from the angle that no normal person drinks breast milk (unless it's from a cow).

Normal people? These are entertainers performing in a public venue. That's the impression I got, Ryan did it for the show. I don't think it was scripted though, Ryan's reactions were too convincing.

So yeah, there should be no question that the Harmonix duders are part of Giantbomb.

Yeah, that part was awful. They keep marketing games for those devs. I know everyone will jump on my back and say that if you are at GB, then you know where they stand, but it feels unethical when say, GB Panel say, tweet the Lang game so they keep making some lame ass accessory for it.

That is one serious peeve I have with the website.

Also, Drinking a breast Milk isn't that gross, and while we are on the subject, Spiders aren't that bad.

To be fair I thought it was the the dev who talked about tweeting, and then giantbomb proceeds to mock him about it.
