Brad Muir is also the driving force behind the Brazen concept, right? Which makes his commentary a little more pertinent than some random developer who might have crossed paths with Patrick?

He's a Double Fine employee who plays well off the Giant Bomb guys. He was the project lead on Iron Brigade and showed up during an awesome quick look ex, which kind made him the best developer guest they have. He's shown up in several quick looks, TNTs, and other stuff since then and the majority of them had nothing to do with Double Fine stuff.

The reason Patrick is talking to him about Monster Hunter is the Brad Muir really loves those games and even has a pretty good prototype of his own take on Monster Hunter.

I still think you're trolling us and know who he is.
 
I realize now you guys were talkin about him a few weeks ago. Didn't know who he was though, not a big DF fan, but I know gb loves their shit. I may be annoying but I don't troll.. on purpose.

I think it's less about them loving their games as much as it is they just really love the people that work at Double Fine. They have definitely had issues with their games in the past.
 
Unfortunately I can't consume all content they put up, and I'd def skip anything related to these kinds of devs/games.
 
You know guys. I think Patrick is funny, and I laugh at is Joke. whilst in the panel, he spoke a little, but the few words he said here and there were funny.
I guess I am only 1% of the community who thinks that, but whatever....

But Alex on the other hand, I like the dude and all, but if he kept quite, it would work for all of us :/

I love how things on GAF are binary. They are either the worst thing ever and hot garbage or the greatest thing ever and world shattering no in between. I wonder if people on here are that hyperbolic when actually speaking.

He was getting better but something sent him into FU mode around the start of the wednesdays livestream. He is now worse than ever. Just a negative asshole who basically just parrots everyone else's opinions.

Edit: I don't just throw around insufferable, his persona on the bombcast and in his writing is the very definition of the term.

You must be thinking of Jeff.

Pattrick have strong opinions no doubt, but he isn't negative or anything. Even when he said that EO was too grindy, he seemed to be upbeat about it which is a plus since everyone else is too negative on Japanese games. On Wednesday show, he was getting into the groove of things was actually quite entertaining (Well except that part where he playing that fishing game on Ipad and Maxwell was there, because Maxwell made him look like a nerd)

Gaf now approves of him because he plays the indie titles and other niche titles that drive a lot of posts on here. He parrots back your opinions, you feel vindicated, and suddenly he's the best. He is insufferable.
 
I dunno about insufferable but he could use a lil more.. I dunno.. life experience or sumtin. I liked when Levine in that interview would keep reminding him how young he was.
 
Patrick is great, although I wasn't a fan at first. Now, he makes Vinny mostly unnecessary, and brings the same enthusiasm without the boring derailments.
 
I really can't remember him being an asshole on the wednesday shows other than being really clueless about baseball games.

I can't even remember him that much from the wednesday shows.

I couldn't give two shits about Monster Hunter or Dragon's Dogma or Catherine or Fire Emblem and still like Patrick.
