Hmm? They've been recording on Tuesdays with just a couple exceptions for a while now.

I'm not saying everyone does. But a while back I talked about them recording on a Tuesday and was shouted down by several people insisting that they always record on Mondays.

Just subbed for a year, what's the best subscriber videos on the site?

I think the Friday shows are consistently the best:

Unprofessional Fridays
Whiskey Media Happy Hour

I miss Happy Hour, especially the Tested gang, but there are couple of segments on Unprofessional Fridays where I just couldn't stop laughing. Drew's jaunt through Lego Island and Vinny's look at Surgeon Simulator 2013 were the best.

Also, I'm not sure about premium, but the Quick Look at Euro Truck Simulator 2013 is one of my favourite videos on the whole site.

yes!!! cant wait!

Ryan and Jeff nowhere to be found...Vinny wearing his plaid secret office shirt in the regular office. Vinnybomb.com takeover confirmed.

I like to joke around about Vinny hating his kid as much as the next guy but wow I have never seen the dude's face light up like it did on the dadcast when he was watching that video of his son. Shit was damn near heartwarming.

I know, it was truly aweworthy.

It's sad that Dota has taken attention away from other things. Brad is ruining my enjoyment of Giant Bomb content with that crap.

Yeah, I'm feeling the same way. Just don't see the love. Though, I also don't see the need to have a bunch of Starcraft on the show either. Didn't like the XCOM stuff months ago.

Just don't like Strat games, apparently.

I'm beginning to think the lack of content comes from the fact people start bitching when they put out something that focuses on a genre some of their fans don't enjoy. Not everything they put up is going to appeal to you, but if you don't moan and they only see positive responses they might just be motived to do similar things with other genres. At the very least give them a chance to show you what the concept is first, let's try not to have another Lang Zone whinefest because people didn't like Dive Kick (despite there being no other TnT worthy games out that week), or Lang, or the Lang Zone but then the majority ended up liking it when they actually saw what the content was.

No, I highly doubt audience reaction plays that big a part in the content they produce, and it would be a massive mistake for it to.

Viewer metrics give them the information they need, reacting to bitching just skews the results in favour of vocal minorities.

It's like the people who think fans put GB off making another ER. It's complete bullshit, they'll do another ER when they want to do one (if ever).

They have explicitly stated as much. "The more you ask about it the less we want to do one."

Which is pretty shitty when you think about it.

I thought that was said about people asking for specific titles. Not an ER itself. Specifically I thought it was brought up in conjunction with Dark/Demon's souls.

The thing is they almost completly switched to live content over pre-taped in the last couple of years. Heck, even the quicklooks are often streamed live nowadays. They can barely support the website as it is right now, they won't go and commit to an additional 1h of content everyday. This is ridiculous.

If they said that, I'd assume its a joke. They're adults, not children stamping their feet.

They should do a subscription drive where if they get X amount of subscriptions, then they will do another ER. If you are going to hold an ER hostage, at least give the fanbase some ransom demands!

Anything other than Dota, Starcraft, Kingdom Quest, and whatever crippling addictions Brad finds himself in. They have a nature of engulfing weeks of GB content resulting in repetitive mediocrity.

That's why GiantBomb is great. They play what they want to play. I don't give two shits about DOTA. But, it is awesome to hear Brad talk about it and see him genuinely excited about the game. Why cover shit just to cover it. I like it when these guys get super passionate about the games they play.

The Sleeping Dogs stuff was so great because Vinny got so into it.

There is fuck all releasing right now, why not let them play what they want. Don't like, go play a game that interests you. GiantBomb shouldn't be your sole entertainment provider.

I'm ok with GB having content on types of games I'm not into. I've watched plenty of those on GB. Even got me to try some of them out. But it's the fact that there's a billion streams going on for DOTA and the Starcraft games. Enough video content to watch 24/7! A backlog long enough to last you till you die from old age! Just doesn't have an appeal to me at all, unless it's about taking the piss out of those games (and the players that play them)

But hey, film whatever ya'll want to film, GB.
