Discussing that game and QL is obviously okay, it's the random anime talk that completely takes over this thread for no reason that people were so sick of that EmCee banned it. And we should respect that unless we want to suffer the same fate as the Super Best Friends thread. There's an anime thread in OT Community.

you have to admit, it's weird that we can't even discuss anime that is directly related to actual GB content.

I get it if off topic anime talk was banned but the straight up anime moratorium seems a bit much. And i don't even like anime that much, the only anime show i've watched in the last 15 years is JoJo.

but hey i don't make the rules so i guess it is what it is

It's not even as much as the random wrestling talk.

But whatever, curtail natural conversation I guess. Like DoA is coming, obviously there's some anime on the mind.

Like, if we're in the middle of 3 weeks of nothing but space sims and wrestling games quick looks I'd undestand being annoyed if anime comes up randomly.

Also the backseat modding is a bit annoying, if it's too much hopefully EmCee will step in, but otherwise it's nearly turned into an in-joke.

They were basically so wildly off topic that they got figuratively shut down. Not actually shut down, but when the hammer dropped over there it dropped hard. Since then, that thread has basically been dead.

Even at GB's worst, we've never gone full SBF. I think the nearest we ever got was the end of the last thread where people began essentially spamming the thread with garbo to get the post count high enough to justify the opening of the next thread, which i didn't participate in that behavior and think it was pretty dumb tbh

The posters used it as a chat room and barely discussed the actual subject, and some of them posted links to pretty porn-y stuff etc. EvilLore and other mods came in and banned everything that wasn't strictly on subject. The thread has slowed to a crawl since.

I feel like it's already past being an in-joke and has just become annoying. I don't think I've seen anyone randomly talk about anime at all in this thread and yet every few pages there's someone making a reference to anime being banned.

being able to read the menus and hearing the guys say what they think they mean is adding an additional level of funny to this video

Also I never understand how people think gambling in videogames is fun. They literally took out the only interesting part about gambling.
