So, I just realize I had InputMapper set the mouse buttons to my DS4 touchpad. Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but I accidentally hit it and ended up attacking the shrine lady in Dark Souls 3. Luckily nothing bad happened, but it gave me a bit of a shock.

It wouldn't be a Dark Souls game if you didn't end up almost accidentally killing an NPC.

Went back to last week's Bombcast and Brad straight up spoils a NPC's appearance. So glad I didn't listen to it cuz I was super surprised when I played it myself last night. Also, "fan service" and "throwback" isn't the right way of thinking. This is straight up a sequel to the first game, imo. Well, that's what I gathered from the first two hours. Dark Souls was never a FF-type thing where each installment was its own thing. Even Dark Souls 2 had tie-ins even if it wasn't done that well without Miyazaki.

I think seeing the different ways that east and west view that stuff kind of shows that if you aren't into the lore all that much it all just seems like random and fan service, but if you follow it more closely you realize there are reasons for it. Brad and Jason both kind of called it a remix or fan service and both really aren't into the story of the series where Vinny and Austin seemed really interested in it and why it linked to the old games because they're more into that stuff.

I got spoiled an appearance in QB as well and was mad pissed, some might want that info beforehand and get excited because of it. I would have loved to see it for myself.
