I know "Jeff being negative" is like a joke at this point but listening to the most recent bombcast it was kinda hilarious how many games he was negative on in just the first hour.

Dark Souls, Star Fox past the first, Soul Calibur past the first, Ratchet and Clank Future were all games he spoke negatively on.

I mean it's kinda true. There's not a lot he really likes. Also hating on Starfox 64 is just bizarre to me, that game is just so good. It was pretty apparent on the GOTY casts too, he spent way more time arguing against games than for them. I like when a game actually inspires some passion in him like Mario Maker did but that's so rare. It also doesn't help that he never misses an opportunity to dunk on something or double down on it.

I generally like Jeff's more cynical side even if I disagree with a lot of his tastes. It makes the things he loves a lot more striking.

Which are?

Puzzle games is something I share with him. Antichamber is something I remember fondly as something I got from his rec.

Then there's stuff like trackmania, Mario maker and hacknet which stand out more because they are pretty recent. Stuff like syndicate nearly turned into an in joke.

Drew's Werner Herzog on the latest Alt+F1 is pretty good. Also Alt+F1 is basically Danny and Drew doing voices and I'm definitely fine with that.

Game feels harder than the previous DkS games.

The first zone is just way more savage with regular enemies than the ones in DS1 and 2 (provided you do Forest of the Fallen Giants first and not Heide's). Those knights don't fuck around. The second major area is actually way easier imo. All the bosses in the first half are pretty easy too.

I mean... Are we just gonna start reposting popular links? A quick jeff.zone search and the post was easily found. I dunno, just feels weird to post something that's already been discussed.
Eh, it doesn't really bother me.

Overall I'm finding it easier but when I do hit a tough point I'm finding it way more difficult to overcome. I actually think this is the first souls game that I've summoned.

I feel like the occasional thing being posted twice is a less worrying prospect than good stuff not being posted for fear of it being a repost.

Hmm okay. I'm still in the early parts and i just found a rapier which will probably carry me a fair ways into the game.

I got one-shotted by the axe trash mobs soooooo

The only opinion Jeff has ever had that really irked me and that I couldn't see his point of view on is his opinion of Kevin Owens on the latest Power Bombcast.

I got his back on soul calibur and any star fox after 64. The rest is just Jeff being Jeff.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who dislikes Greg Miller and tired of the seemingly over saturation of him.

nah I've said it a bunch of times in GB threads that I can appreciate him for about 1-2 guest appearances a year and then I'm maxed out on his schtick for the entire year

I don't even think I even knew who he was until he went the whole twitch/patreon route, now he's all over the place. Doing Gamespot's E3 stage, hosting FF15 shit, now Paxmania...

In his defense, he's always been a part of Paxamania/Royal Rumble.

Hell, he's the one responsible for the "TURN ON THE FOG MACHINE!" joke from the last Royal Rumble.

I can take him or leave him, though I totally understand why people would not like him.

Ah, guess he just wasn't on my radar until he became more prominent.

Nah, Jeff's just vocal of the fact that a lot of games are bad which is a refreshing counter to the bullshit line the enthusiast press has been peddling for years of "game scores/metacritic run high because it's mostly good games that make it through long development". Some of Jeff's opinions I agree with, some I definitely do not (Mario Maker...), but overall my good to bad ratio is probably about the same.

Greg is great when he's a e3 panel guest or doing his PAXamania thing, but on his own he's unwatchable. And the titles of his group's videos that have popped up in my recommended page ("Would you date a pornstar!?!?") kinda reinforce my assumptions.

What was Drew's reaction to the ending, I had to bail at the end of the last mission.

Mostly ambivalence. He wasn't that surprised by the twist since he had figured that was the case since episode one. Didn't love it, didn't hate it, just seemed glad to finish it (though he did enjoy his time with the game).

Sounds about right. Was Dan's opinion on the ending changed at all or was he still pretty hot on it?

He was pretty "meh" on it. Definitely soured on it since release. Brad was there in the chat talking about his issues with it as well.

Wait, does o-dwyer appear at some point? I see some people mentioning danny.

Danny could hear Dan yelling all the way from his office so he popped into chat and then popped into the stream for a little bit.

So, Ive been watching Dannys Naked and Gunless run recently, and it really irks me that he seems to have never come across the name "Cait" before. I feel like that name was common back in ma skool dayz. Im sure im not the only Irish person watching who was thinking this.

Its pronounced "Cawch" btw
