Reading Comprehension? I'm sorry if I take offense to someone telling me I made these same mistakes when I did not. It's insulting. It's as stupid an argument as the 'perfect run' theory. I let at least a half dozen people borrow CT as a kid, nobody ever had trouble beating the game or knowing what to do. Apparantly everyone else in this thread that has played the game hasn't either. I don't think it takes a monumental amount of applied intellect to advance the story in the game, no. And unless the person I'm responding to wants to admit that they found the game impossible to complete because of its tasking mental requirements, then I didn't insult anyone.

Say what you want, but the apologists have shat up this thread far more than my rape comparison ever did.

Proper Capitalization? I wasn't addressing your comprehensively comprehensible posts, specifically. I would have singled you out with a quote and tailored my contribution to it, if I had been. The discussion in general was getting as mean-spirited as a Giant Bomb community thread.

I only managed to keep up until the dinosaur era part (when they were actually meant to go there). You've done well. This thread remains entertaining, though.
 
They're getting pretty close to the end. Hopefully they decide to do some of the endgame sidequests. Most of them aren't too long.

They forgot to open the chest they keep walking by right?

Also Magic Ring on Bagus would be good since his tech are all magic based. HIT is just accuracy rate if I remember correctly (it would be useful for Bucca or against high evasion enemies). Btw, the Hero Amulet is Brog only which is why they couldn't find it while equipping Bagus.

Minor quibbles.

It's great to see that they're gonna do all the side quests, though! :)

Spincutting the legs is probably not the best route considering they heal 300 at times. I'd probably try some sort of multi-tech on the head while healing in the off turns.
 
It would have been a lot smoother if they just healed with Brog instead of using water 2 every time. Patricks advice was not very good there.
 
Honestly, I just dislike hearing uninformed comments like "we have the most dual techs on this team". The reason why the others have not learned their's is because you've only used the same 3 characters! It's not as if they had more by design, it's by player's choice. Makes me cringe when they make false statements like that.

You do realize GB puts out Let's Play videos outside of ER, right? Dave and Vinny's Random PC Game and Load My Last Save videos have been awesome.

Also, I'm not sure how providing criticism = throwing a tantrum, but whatever.

This and last episode were good. They're paying attention, and did pretty well. Interested to see how they take on the side quests.

it's pretty interesting tho. you see such a different dynamic relationship between the characters and the story feels different. it's more like a journey of bros instead of the romance I went with.
 
If they would experiment using more single, dual, and triple techs, then they'd have an easier time on the boss they were defeated by twice today. Crono recently learned Luminaire, Uzi Punch does a heck of a lot of damage, and there are other techs they can use at their disposal. The fact that they were solely relying on Spincut wasn't wise. And as others have mentioned, they haven't used Cure Wave once yet. It's pretty frustrating. Cure Beam isn't going to cut it for this boss. Well, they could get by, but they're stretching it really thin now.
 
Ryan needs to be selecting attacks WAY faster if they don't want Retinite to constantly be shitting on them with attacks. And, yes, Leos is right, they need to mix it up more with their attacks.

prolly would've been better if they combined an attack with the water magic. i only have fuzzy memories of this battle.
 
Yeah there are a few good scenes you miss out on without Marle in your party.

Too bad the whole Lucca's mom thing will be lost on them(or did they find that out, I can't remember). Hell they don't even know that Taban makes free equipment for Lucca yet.

Saving Lucca's mom and then going to see her after the event and see her walk out of the chair is just a beautiful moment.
I'm almost tearing up thinking about it now. lol
 
This thread is internet nerd rage at its worst. Some of us actually enjoy the GB personalities and how they play through games while commentating. As a result of commentating they often screw up while playing, this adds to the charm, yes sometimes they can be stupid to the point of annoyance but NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO WATCH. If you want to see a perfect story run go somewhere else. The ER is special because one person has not played the game, and is experiencing it for the first time. This is part of the feature's allure and probably why they don't just call it a let's play.

I love how everyone begged for an ER only to make sure we never get another. It's just a video series of two dudes playing a SNES game, keep things in perspective. I for one am a few episodes behind so I haven't witnessed the end of the world as so many of you in this thread have heralded but I have a feeling I will be fine with how they play. If it annoys me too much I will simply stop watching. End of story. There are plenty of other videogame videos and videogames out there to occupy more than enough of your time, heck there's even plenty of other GB videos that you could spend your time watching.

This ER rage is out of hand. I'm sure this has been said countless times in this thread, but I would rather people hear it again then post some nerd-rage-gasm about how CT is their childhood and GB is somehow ruining said childhood.

None of the dudes really get along except Brog and Brono. And that only came later with the respect kicking in. The shit can is Bucca bound and Magus is just a boss. Plus, we get enough bromance with the current gen. Should have brought the three girls for that dress sphere style.

Best relationship in the game is Brono/Magus though. I'm not joking.

EDIT:
Can we stop the "everyone is the voice of reason" stuff ITT about the ER? Just talk about the game and their stupid mistakes.
