OK, I guess I should throw this thought out there.
When you are in a relationship, and the girl is the one who initiates the breakup, never, EVER accept any proposition to become friends. This cheapens the breakup so that she doesn't look like a bad person because she offered to be friends. Don't even think that there will be a "chance" to get back together, as there usually isn't. IMO a relationship is most likely the deepest form of a friendship with a woman that you can go short of marriage, and by accepting this proposition to be a friend, good shit bro, you just thrust yourself into the friend zone forever. You willingly accepted the fact that she will actively look for other dudes and since your feelings have been handicapped because you're just friends now, you have no say in what happens so it's mental torture when you are being the one who's been dumped. The solution for that is to just bail out, take time to focus on yourself, recharge those emotional batteries and find someone new eventually.
The one bitch who broke up with me after a 2 year relationship through the internet was bitter towards me because I refused to be friends. I thought that was a fucking slap in my face, as all that would do for her is numb the emotional grief in losing me, since I'd still exist in her life, just as a "friend", and I'll be struggling at her expense in coping with our breakup. When you are this "friend", when you accept this proposition, depending on who dumped who, there's rarely any shot at reconciliation. I told her from the start that we couldn't be friends, my reasoning being that given how strong my feelings would be towards her and how all this time I've wanted to reconcile given how long we've been together, I'd pretty much go through what I call emotional blueballs.
I'll have these strong feelings that I can't act upon as a "friend" or even express because we are no longer together, and I will always feel like I'll be selling myself short with this friendship, especially when I know just how good a man I am and I know for a fact that I am capable of being far more than just a friend to someone else who would appreciate a relationship. It's like being overqualified for a job the company KNOWS you are much better than, but they keep you in the wings for some other inferior person to step in and fuck up a job you should have had in the first place, and it's a shitty feeling to have that stacks upon the stress of a breakup.
So then she got all angry because I refused the offer to become friends, since according to her, "we were close friends before we became boyfriend/girlfriend" but this is what bothers me. What fucking logic do women use, where they can somehow rationalize this situation, like it's acceptable for them to walk away from a serious relationship, not even try to work the situation out, and be capable of looking at you with a straight face and basically go, "this is going to be hard on me to deal with this breakup, but I still want you to be with me as my friend to at least for me to cope with what happened to us". Not saying that I would never get over a female or something but by being a "friend", the mountain I'd have to climb of finding closure/accepting/moving on from this breakup would be ridiculously steeper if this bitch still wants to exist in my life.
Fuck out of here with that bullshit son
