This kinda goes to both Games and OT lol...My coworker invited me to her place to play some FPS even though she's not a gamer by any means. So I bring my ps3 to her place, only problem is I don't own any FPS games. The only thing I really got is Rock Band 3 so we played that most of the night lol.

So GAF, I need some game recommendations for chicks to get into! Gotta be something simple because she thought RE4 Wii controls were too complicated.

FPS:
Sports:
Puzzle:

I got fighting and music games covered. Add anything else!

Do you own a Wii?

-- you never met the chick
-- assuming her life was indeed true:
- she was mafia
- she was illegal
- she was probably fucking other comrades

I understand you're upset about this, but realize no chick is worth fucking your life over. There's 3.3 Billion other women on this rock, I guarantee you'll find someone else. You're in college, the best time of a man's life. Damn, I wish I could go back.

In short, you'll be fine in time.

Note that it's really easy to fall for an Eastern-European girl. I don't know what it is about them, but if they look good it's really easy to get attached. And at the same time I've noticed they always had shitty problems with their lives. Probably a coincidence, but that's what I've experienced.

Iv noticed the same with South American girls.. though in Adelaide, Australia they're very exotic to us :lol

Well, if you're really friends, wouldn't she understand that it's still a difficult topic to bring up?

It's funny, "wifey" girl wants me to play WoW with her. A lot of my friends have been begging me to play it. In fact, one of my friends actually bought me a copy TONIGHT and insisted on coming over to my place and installing it :lol

Anyway, another one of my girls (I guess you can call them that) has a PS3. We made plans (tentative) for me to bring mine over and play my PSN games together. Yeah...I ain't gonna teach her how to play Super ;) I wish I still had LBP though. I don't know if she does.

She wanted to see me tonight, but other shit came up that she had to attend to. Out of all the girls I've been talking to, she's the only one who is a gamer. Well, the first girl I saw was too, but I don't talk to her no more...I've never dated hardcore girl gamer. My second GF was kind of into games, but no so much. My ex knew hardly anything about video games, but she didn't mind that I played them. She's was cool with my hobby. As long as the girl doesn't give me shit and doesn't believe game are the bane of existence, I won't care what she thinks.

Remember, never change who you are and stop being yourself to placate some girl. Fuck her. If she doesn't like you for who you are, find someone else.

EDIT

Oh, to answer your question...if she thought RE4 Wii was too hard, I don't think there is much hope for her :lol

Whatever sports you or her are into, get that. As for puzzle...Critter Crunch is a lot of fun.

Being a gamer, I don't think I could date some who was a gamer too. :lol

edit: Oh, started talking to someone on POF, kinda hit it off. She's the one that's asking questions about myself, and ramping up from a message a day to more. However, she's not coming back to town until January so... who knows! :lol

I still have lingering thoughts about the dancing girl though. I don't see her until possibly the end of January, so... yeah.

EzLink said:
Except if I were a lion I would have taken her!

Anyway, this is more along the lines of what I wanted to hear :p No girl can be worth that amount of stress right?

You're damn right that no one is worth the stress. I broke up with my ex because she was stringing two guys on at the same time, and I wasn't willing to put up with her antics. We're acquaintances now, although lately I've realized that I'll never really be "okay" with her for the simple fact that she was a complete bitch about things.

Yeah, I kind of feel that way too. Most gamers IRL (not GAF) annoy the shit out of me, because they're either way too into them or just don't know what the fuck they're talking about. I love games, but I don't take them too seriously. I try my best to do as much research and be as unbiased as possible and not sound stupid.

I have female friends who are gamers. They're either really cool, but taken or they're too annoying to date :lol

She moved away close to eight months ago and we broke up on pretty bad terms. Im not really friends with her but my sister and her are still really close, regardless though, it still sucks to hear someone that you cared about talk about other guys.

That was the other problem. I'm well aware that moving to be close to someone you've met on the internet is a huge risk under any circumstance. Adding the mafia to the mix just makes things all the more fun

And if it was a 32 year old fat dude, he must have had a beautiful russian girl in his basement that he coerced into having photos taken of her many many times over the course of those couple months

I'm just saying, take it from the guy who takes his sweet ass time to meet internet girls.

For better or for worse, internet just isn't the same as real life. What you thought was clever sarcasm might have actually been paranoid reality. What you thought was a funny joke (confirmed by her lol reply) might be met with absolute silence in real life.

And then there's the whole physical thing. What if you meet for real and discover she talks like one of the chipmunks and you can't stand it, or says "like" every, like, three words?

So all I'm saying is, you might have met and discovered....it wasn't that great. Sure, you might have gotten laid, but it's unlikely she would have been the girl of your dreams.

And come on, it's the internet. I have enough pictures of my ex girlfriend to pretend I'm her online and get some guy to fall in love with me.

Here's me in the snow! Here are my boobs! Here's me with my sister!

Except I'm a man.

May I ask why you never texted or talked on the phone....?

Got another number at the bar the other night, and actually made out with the girl a bit.

I finally went out with a solid wingman, and I actually got to see some testicular fortitude in action when it comes to women. We saw three cute girls sitting at the bar next to us, and as they were leaving he actually stopped them and invited them to meet us at another bar to play pool. Simple as fuck, and yet something I wouldn't do 9 times out of 10. Of course they agreed, as they had been eyeing us all evening.

Anyway, one of the girls had a boyfriend who later joined her, but the other two were single. We quickly paired up and it was on. I was honestly amazed at how easy it was with a good wingman at my disposal. Too often I go out with friends who are either just as inept, or even more inept than me with women and we end up going home drunk and frustrated and bitching about how we suck with women :lol

I have a best friend who showed interest and hung out with this girl a couple times but to his dismay it never developed...

I've since hit it off very well with this girl, would it be considered a douche move if i were to keep this relationship a secret from my friend? Or would GAF say it's better I abide by our bro code by approaching him about it just in case to make sure he wont have any problem later on... please explain why.

For some reason life never grants me happiness. Goddamn drama with this girl. For crying out loud. I want to make this work out, but it seems everything and everyone is doing their darnest best to stop that from happening. I want to see her, but she doesn't have time (or doesn't want to free up the time). At this point I don't know anymore. I'm beginning to think she is full of shit. I'll trudge along for two more weeks but if by then shit is still as dramatic as it is now I'm throwing in the towel and putting my sights elsewhere. I don't want to, but I need some fucking stability in my life and I need things to be clear.

Dunno, when it ends I usually move on, and after I'm ok with me and the "absence" of the ex, or with a new gf, I get in touch with them and don't really give a fuck of guys they like or even their new bf. Heck, I usually give them advices too.

Maybe I never got really attached with any of the ex..

Got another date from okcupid lined up for next Thursday. Don't know what happened to the first girl, but she hasn't logged into the service in about a week so I haven't spoken to her. *shrugs* Her loss. And if she comes back after the holidays and wants to meet up, then we'll meet up.

Holidays man... She's probably busy. People have lives. Don't sweat it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Don't know why I really give a damn either. There wasn't much chemistry during our date. She was cute though and I'd like to give it another shot. I'll just wait and see with her.

In the meantime, this new girl's okcupid profile has her rated as extremely old-fashioned and extremely sexual. This could be fun. :lol

Two more weeks? FUCK THAT.

Pull the plug and make it quick and swift. She's wasting your time.

I have learned if a girl likes you, she will make time to be with you no matter her schedule. Period

Yeah I'm not pulling the plug on this yet. It's the holidays. I'll wait till past new year. If it doesn't work out then, fine. Pulling the plug would totally be the rational thing to do, I can't argue with that, but fuck it I'll just have to learn the hard way again.

Edit: some shit just happened. I kinda think this girl is damaged goods. Some shit is happening at her home and she doesn't want to tell me yet. I know her relationship with her parent is kinda fucked and her dad is an overly dominant man who can't properly show affection and her parents frequently fight. Apparently shit has hit the fan today, but she refuses to tell me what's up right now. I have a nagging feeling that the father may be abusive. I seriously hope I'm wrong but fuck...

I sure know how to pick them...

Yeah I got a Wii. The RE4 was my copy. :p It provided some good laughs seeing her frantically trying to shoot a zombie scaring the shit outta her and instead swinging the wiimote so hard trying to aim while forgetting to hold the B button, that she was knifing every where instead. I also made her call out the chainsaw guy in the beginning. Seeing the reaction to her head being severed was priceless lol. RE4 players knows what I'm talking about!

This girl isn't even a gamer so it's all good. I wouldn't mind dating a girl gamer though. Just don't drag me down by playing a hardcore game with you! I'd be tempted to call her 'noob' :lol.

She mentioned she wanted to shoot some aliens. Since it was cute seeing her getting scared playing RE4, what's a good horror/FPS? Bioshock?

Bro code it up and tell your friend. If things move on, it would make you seem even douchier when things get out, and they eventually WILL get out. You don't have to ask his permission, he missed the mark, but tell him, otherwise he'll be pissed extra.

I have the following situation: met a girl a couple of months ago. we dated for a couple of weeks, things got intimate, I bailed out because I thought it wouldn´t work out but regret my decision a couple of days later...I´m not sure if she´s right for me. Now another couple of weeks and radio silence later I´ve seen on her facebook that she has a new bf. I´ll meet her tomorrow in this bar again were we initially met each other...it´s a little get-together of friends and she´ll be there to (saw it on her fb status). So yeah an uncomfortable situation approaching since I still have a connection to her and I´m not sure how to behave. What would GAF do?

That Ju-On game for the Wii. It's two players as well!

Well, she'll probably be feeling just as awkward about it as you are. How badly did the breakup go? I'm assuming not too badly, considering you still have her on FB.

If an opportunity arises, and you still have lingering feelings, maybe it would do you some good to air them out with her. But try not to let her presence there become the focus of your evening. You sound as if you still would like a shot at this woman, but if she's with someone else then that means she has moved on and you've missed your chance. It's a good sign to take for you to start moving on as well.

Well it basically was this awkward silence the morning after thing - I left her flat, wrote her that I have no clue how I feel about her and what she thinks about our situation, no reply came back...radio silence. The thing is she told me that when a breakup happens she uses to treat her exes like friends. Another thing is that I think that her new guy is the rebound guy (same type just taller and wider lol) but that´s just speculation. Then she lives 100 miles away from me...and I still have no clue if she´s just a friend or more...duh.

You broke up with her, there shouldn't be any awkward feelings at all for you. She clearly wasn't devastated, considering she's back in a relationship. I don't really see where all this awkwardness is coming from.

I'm laughing at myself for this. I feel bad enough posting in girl-age as it is, but I never thought I'd be posting my own situation here. Not that I think I'm above anyone, but this thread is one of those things about which I think its very existence is kind of a silly thing. Then again, it's done some good for several people.

Man, this is the kind of girl that sticks in your mind no matter what. The kind that is not just a "would" but is more of a "holy crap I have to be with this girl." I know there are a few guys who will say they are immune to this and probably a smaller few who actually are immune to it, but let's get real here.

She's been out of the country since the beginning of summer, and before that I barely saw her. I was in a relationship at the time but she and I would go to concerts together that my at-the-time girlfriend didn't care to go to. (she was a workaholic and wouldn't set aside her schoolwork for anything) We had definite chemistry every time we hung out but it was always suppressed. I'm not going to be a cheating asshole, right? Right.

Now I've been single for the past few months, we've been talking a lot, but as I said she's still out of the country. She'll be back at the beginning of January. I've already told her I'm taking her out to dinner as soon as she gets back and she was really happy about it, but I can't tell how she took it. Perhaps she just took it as a platonic date? I don't know if she even knows how to take it and she's definitely too shy to ask.

So I have a choice. I can make my interest known now but I feel like that gives her a lot of time to consider all the negative consequences of a romance and I won't have a physical presence in her life at all in the meantime. Plus it's just a shitty, awkward way to start out. Or I could wait til she gets back and risk having her decide I'm too much of a friend for her to see me in a romantic light. So far I'm leaning heavily towards the latter option.

What do I do? Not that I expect any meaningful advice here, because there's no way for anyone to have much of a grasp on a situation that's not his/her own. It's more of a place to vent. I forgot what it's like to have my mind stuck on a girl like this.

Sometimes not giving people a chance comes back to bite you. You broke up with her, she has long moved on and you were honest with her so don't expect anything. she has a boyfriend now, behave yourself and don't go fucking things up for the other guy

Ok GAF, This is my first girl-age post ever. Normally I don't have any problem handling these situations myself but this girl is really confusing me. I asked this girl out last week, first date went well. She seemed happy and giggly, usually signs that things are going well in my experience. I didn't go for a kiss at the end, probably should have but I wasn't sure it felt right and decided to wait until next date. At the end she even asked when we were going out again, I said sometime this week and I'd call her.

Flash forward to tonight she texts me that her plans with her friends fell out last minute. So I offered to take her out on christmas eve. It was kind of short notice and everything is closed, so I kind of thought on my feet and took her to a local park to go for a stroll. They light it up and have the huge tree etc. it's pretty. So we buy some hot chocolate and start walking around.

I put my arm around her when she said she was cold. I had a "Fuck yeah" moment when she did the same and seemed to want to move in really close and rest her head on me. So everything goes well and we head back to her place. I'm thinking I'm golden, I mean come on our date was like some shit out of a movie, Christmas eve, hot chocolate, pretty lights, walk in the park etc.

So we get to her place and we get out, I get close to go for a kiss and she kinda jumps in first and hugs me. My first though was "oh fuck what did I do???" I don't get it. these were like 2 of the best dates I could really come up with and I don't get a kiss on the second date? I'm not sure what to think at this point, maybe she doesn't like me that much or something. Then she asks me when we are going bowling ( I mentioned this earlier). So I say I'll call her next week sometime.

What does this girl want GAF? She seemed so into me in the park, like squeezing me tight and everything. Usually that's a good sign but I can't kiss her? Did I fuck up somewhere? What should I do on the bowling third date to push for it? Help please experts.

Sounds like she likes you, but wants to wait before starting anything real. Probably has issues from previous relationships. If you are sure you want something with her, it might be worth it to go the extra mile and help her sort things out in her head. Would mean a lot to her if she does have issues.

Don't worry about it.

Sounds like shes just shy. Or super conservative. Or you have dumpster breath

If after the third (successful) date you again try to kiss her and she actively denies you....ask her what's up. Don't make it awkward, joke around. "I sort of suck at reading people...so help me out here"

Actually, here's how I'd play it (and I'm an expert).

Bowl. Head back to her place or your place. Select movie.tv option. Begin snuggling process. Move closer and closer. Eventually, your foreheads and noses will be touching.

At that point, you have two options:

a) Ask her if she likes to take the initiative (or something along those lines)
b) Ask for permission to kiss her

If she says no, then ask why.

If she says "I think of you like a brother" then sigh, and GTFO.

If she says no, then ask why.

If she says "I think of you like a brother" then sigh, and GTFO.

I'm sure it's not that one I always carry gum. :lol

Seems like solid advice though, I like her enough to try again one more date and see what's up. We'll see, thanks.

No offense man, but maybe you are the source of at least some of this drama? If she's busy and dealing with family shit over the holidays and doesn't have time to see you, that sucks, but it happens. You just started seeing her so you haven't been let in on the family secrets, that's understandable.

Maybe you yourself need to take it easy, and see how things develop?

For the online dating crowd, when you decide to meet IRL first time, like a coffee shop or lunch, is it considered a "date"?

In other words, would you try and kiss her or him at the end of such a meeting?

Bro code it up and tell your friend. If things move on, it would make you seem even douchier when things get out, and they eventually WILL get out. You don't have to ask his permission, he missed the mark, but tell him, otherwise he'll be pissed extra.
Thanks, I knew I had a good idea posting for help in here, you made perfect sense! :)

OK, I guess I should throw this thought out there.

When you are in a relationship, and the girl is the one who initiates the breakup, never, EVER accept any proposition to become friends. This cheapens the breakup so that she doesn't look like a bad person because she offered to be friends. Don't even think that there will be a "chance" to get back together, as there usually isn't. IMO a relationship is most likely the deepest form of a friendship with a woman that you can go short of marriage, and by accepting this proposition to be a friend, good shit bro, you just thrust yourself into the friend zone forever. You willingly accepted the fact that she will actively look for other dudes and since your feelings have been handicapped because you're just friends now, you have no say in what happens so it's mental torture when you are being the one who's been dumped. The solution for that is to just bail out, take time to focus on yourself, recharge those emotional batteries and find someone new eventually.

The one bitch who broke up with me after a 2 year relationship through the internet was bitter towards me because I refused to be friends. I thought that was a fucking slap in my face, as all that would do for her is numb the emotional grief in losing me, since I'd still exist in her life, just as a "friend", and I'll be struggling at her expense in coping with our breakup. When you are this "friend", when you accept this proposition, depending on who dumped who, there's rarely any shot at reconciliation. I told her from the start that we couldn't be friends, my reasoning being that given how strong my feelings would be towards her and how all this time I've wanted to reconcile given how long we've been together, I'd pretty much go through what I call emotional blueballs.

I'll have these strong feelings that I can't act upon as a "friend" or even express because we are no longer together, and I will always feel like I'll be selling myself short with this friendship, especially when I know just how good a man I am and I know for a fact that I am capable of being far more than just a friend to someone else who would appreciate a relationship. It's like being overqualified for a job the company KNOWS you are much better than, but they keep you in the wings for some other inferior person to step in and fuck up a job you should have had in the first place, and it's a shitty feeling to have that stacks upon the stress of a breakup.

So then she got all angry because I refused the offer to become friends, since according to her, "we were close friends before we became boyfriend/girlfriend" but this is what bothers me. What fucking logic do women use, where they can somehow rationalize this situation, like it's acceptable for them to walk away from a serious relationship, not even try to work the situation out, and be capable of looking at you with a straight face and basically go, "this is going to be hard on me to deal with this breakup, but I still want you to be with me as my friend to at least for me to cope with what happened to us". Not saying that I would never get over a female or something but by being a "friend", the mountain I'd have to climb of finding closure/accepting/moving on from this breakup would be ridiculously steeper if this bitch still wants to exist in my life.

Fuck out of here with that bullshit son

No. I wouldn't kiss them and it's not really a date. You're just meeting up to mostly make sure they are what they said they were online and make sure you click a little in person. I just give them a hug and then set up a real date later.

Coffee date is more of a crazy test than a date. Second date is the real date with activities and romance.

The more and more I dive into it, the more I dislike trying to meet someone online. There's something so cold about the whole process. Definitely agree with the OP, it should supplement trying to meet people IRL.

Any coffee date, even in real life, is a crazy test. However, you can transition into a real date if you are lucky.
