Glee Season 2 |OT| How Sue "C's" it (and many blindly hate it)

they always end with a song be it a regular song or mashup. be glad it's not singing in the rain but still. these old people singing is very boring.

Mehhhhhh. I really love Singin in the Rain. I was not feeling the mash-up, at all. Absolutely hating that Umbrella song probably has something to do with it.

Huh, I loved the Umbrella/Singing in the Rain mash-up. I think it was the best mash-up of the season so far.

Anyway, a good episode. Not as great as last week's, but still among the stronger this season. The Mercedes B-Plot was kind of boring, but it wasn't that much of a deterrence. A bit too much Sue though.

Gwyneth did a good job. I like her singing voice, very distinct. Conjunction Junction was amazing and unexpected. More School House Rock!

Mike and Schu's dance thing should have been axed. Out of place and stupid.

Sue should be principal. She was great this episode.

And I really wish Gyneth Paltrow would become the new Glee teacher. She was sooo much better. And I know it's a double standard but if the teacher has to be singing and dancing with kids I'd rather her. Schuester is just getting way to creepy this season. At least he's becoming a joke character more and more. The Journey lines and his face the second time was great.

Really good episode, I'm shocked. Beyond the odd Mercedes b-story and Forget You, everything was really well done.

I think Ryan Murphy's in line to write next week's though :-\

EDIT: Wow, when I watched the episode I went "Cameo looks like Gabourey Sidibe!". Turns out it was her :lol

Wow, fucking great episode.

And holy shit at that mashup. I was floored; fucking amazing.

edit-

Britanny being confused at M and N in the alphabet. :lol

The Christmas Album that dropped today sounds fucking great! And they included the Last Christmas single they released last year (just on iTunes back then I guess) which also sounds amazing.

Chris Colfer and Darren Criss singing a romantic duet on the album is hilariously perfect. :lol

Also, did this episode pretty much confirm that the characters are dating?

I liked this episode. The opening part with Rachel was amazing with Santana shouting LET ME GET HER :lol :lol . Mr Schue dream sequence was boring and ridiculous. Sue once again proved she makes the show. Really funny when she was talking as she was a ''president''. Kurt was way too mean to Mercedes in the end. It's basically now that I found a friend (lover? not too clear) that understand me, well go find yourself someone and stop eating your emotion. He literally tried to shove that guy on her. Wow what an ass. Holly was an awesome character, hope she will come back in the later episode.

Mercedes should have bitch slapped Kurt down.

I love how he turned Mercedes liking her favorite junk food into about him. Real classy.

Somebody needs to make a .gif of Santa flipping out at Rachel and needing like 5 classmates to restrain her.

watching the episode again i can safely assume that kurt found the picture of blaine online because he google searched the football player for mercedes when she asked about his activies. :lol.

Just watched the episode and I mostly liked it. The pace was good and there was a lot of fun.

Holly was too perfect to be true. It was like the Mary Poppins of New Directions, I'm glad she explained why she was like that. I'm glad Terri was brought back but gosh, that baby talk was so creepy. I prefer her as psycho bitch, which is what we got in the end. I think she slept with Will and I hope she does not end up pregnant. BTW, I didn't like Will took advantage of her when he knows she's unstable.

Santana going bersek at Rachel was hilarious, in fact, everything about Rachel was hilarious this episode :lol . It was nice to see Blaine again even if it was just a second. Brittany's "I'm Mike Chang" was so funny. She kills me everytime.

I don't know what to make of Mercedes plot but Kurt was awful to her. I found him to be annoying and a completely awful friend to her. Shut up, Kurt.

I missed Sam's abs but at least we got Mr. Schu's, so I won't complain too much. Finn looked hot speaking in spanish, heh.

I liked most of the songs but the mash-up at the end was awful and Gwyneth was a lot better than I thought. Her spanish was pretty good as well and lol @ her Lindsay Lohan analogy.

i'm pretty sure Paltrow is some sort of Spanish weeaboo.

So she probably speaks the langauge.

also I love Kurt in that gif :lol

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.
So who's gonna pay for the auditorium's massive amounts of water damage?

Holly/Gwen was a real treat.
Kurt continues to be an unlikable, self-centered prick.
Shue's Mike dream was random as fuck. :lol Always a creep, even in his sleep.
and it was nice to see Mercedes get more screentime, even though her subplot was kinda lame.

lol, nice. Didn't even notice.

Ian Brennan continues to write the only episodes of this season i've enjoyed. His episodes have been the best at mixing comedy and drama, with just about the right amount of camp/silliness, all without shoving tonnes of insulting messages and overwrought sentiment down our throats. He also seems to be the only one capable of not making me actively dislike all the characters. He's the best at writing Rachel, that's for sure.

I didn't really enjoy any of the songs, but the choreography was a load of fun to watch.

"Never been kissed" constitutes as a good episode? Okay...

I did however love yesterday's episode - barring the terrible tater tots sub-plot. Everything flowed so well and was genuinely funny.

"Gay gay gay gay gay - oh a little pink purse fell out of my mouth as I was talking!" or whatever it was :lol

"There's gotta be a journey song we haven't done!"

I love when Rachel is being unabashedly annoying about herself and Glee club. See other writers: Refrain from giving her 'serious' relationship drama and she's hilarious.

I also actually really liked Gwyneth and would be totally on-board with her character recurring throughout the series.

So, Amazon.com has revealed that
Florence and the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over"
will be covered in an upcoming episode. Not a song I thought I'd ever hear on the show, but I wouldn't mind seeing more music from indie-ish bands.

NeoGAF's smiling token!
I liked the mashup and the new teacher was better than Schu's douche-ass. In a way she kind of balanced him out. Also this beat out last weeks ep.

Next week is Ryan Murphy week right? Ughhhhhhh.

So yeah, I never follow the writers but I want more of this one. I love the campy humor like Schu's Journey and the pink purse. I want fun and silly, not dramedy.

I wouldn't mind it handling dramedy if the show could actually pull it off.

As it is currently, it needs to stick strictly to comedy.

Wiki says that she was an exchange student as a teenager in Spain for a year and speaks fluent Spanish; she also did a PBS travel/foodie series about Spain, which is where I kind of realized how fun and likable she is.

I'm loving how much Kurt there's been in recent episodes. :3 I laughed harder at the 'little pink purse' gag than anything else on the show in quite a while.
