Glee Season 2 |OT| How Sue "C's" it (and many blindly hate it)

After having watched that episode I now have to go to a wound center and look at some wounds.

Had high expectations for this, now I'll try to forget about it like how Sue does it

Man, loved all three songs so much, even if the video for the Warblers was brutally awkward. Livin' on a Prayer mashup was fucking amazing. Sue's confetti explosion was amazing. Darren Criss was so much fun to stare at. Some of the snappier dialogue and the bits with Bieste were great.

For me, all the awesome managed to overshadow some of the awful heavy-handed scenes (lol @ the hand-holding running scene and 'Courage' :lol).

More of this please. As far as I'm concerned, we need at least a couple months off from theme episodes.

I watched/listened to Teenage Dream before the episode aired and was pleasantly surprised to hear how much better it sounded in the episode itself with surround and everything. Really neat rendition of it (just talking about the sound). The songs really sounded awesome in this ep.

I just find it real creepy that kurt held on to what blaine texted him. Not only that but he took the time to cut out the word courage and creepily have a framed image of him in there lol that and how the kid just leave school.

How would he have even gotten the image? I presume Blaine never gave it to him, so Kurt would have had to search for it either online or in the yearbooks of another school. And then print it out. And frame it. :lol

In any case, fun episode. Still don't find Sam attractive.

Color me a little confused about how the competitions work. Sections, then Regionals (which they lost), but the team is still going for Nationals? But wait, there's another Sectionals event coming up? :lol

I mean, if it turns out it doesn't make perfect sense except that it services the show and brings some new teams into the mix as guest stars, I'm fine with that, just wondering. :lol

The text message isn't creepy under the circumstances. The picture sure as fuck is, though.

It resets with each school year. They need to start with sectionals again. Nationals was mentioned to give them motivation to win Regionals.

(and to give them a lame reason to sing the NY song)

Interesting episode. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

On one hand, some things were perfect: The bully kissing Kurt, the confetti cannon, Will didn't suck, not much Rachel, Beiste, the songs, Artie and Puck...

And then some things were weird, especially bit about Blaine and then having his picture framed in his locker.

As someone who was in a show choir (in Ohio, no less), this has always perplexed me.

In reality, there is no structure for any of this. You go to competitions at other schools and that's about it. Some go to national competitions, but there's no type of tournament or anything. Pretty much all of them are invitationals. There's no districts>regionals>nationals.

Show choir is pure hell. I basically got forced into it by my choir teacher because I was one of the few people at our school who could sing, and it was a painful experience.

They did that invitational too. The first one with April Rhodes was supposed to be their invitational. Who exactly was invited, I have no clue.

pffft like you've never done that before ;)

he doesn't need it anymore. has he as courage on his side.

I don't print images of people out though ;P

Aw c'mon guys. This is Kurt's normal Modus Operandi.
Blaine is a bit of a Gary-Stew though... so I expect him to end up with
his tormentor.

Darren Cross (Blaine) has been added a series regular. Ausellio says this is most likely to happen for the show's third season.

Yay! Although, I hope this does not end up like Grey's Anatomy with tons of regulars... I mean, some of them have had like 2 minutes of screen time so far this season *cough*Jessalyn Gilsig*cough*Mike O'Malley*cough* And the ones that are present barely have anything to do (Mercedes, Puck until this past episode). I wonder if Chord and Harry will become regulars next season as well.

They need to start adding freshman or else come up with reasons why everybody's repeating their senior years multiple times.

He's not just sticking around for one or two more episodes?

Well, who do we have right now?

Dianna Agron (Quinn)
Chris Colfer (Kurt)
Darren Cross (Blaine)
Jessalyn Gilsig (Terry)
Jane Lynch (Sue)
Jayma Mays (Emma)
Kevin McHale (Artie)
Lea Michele (Rachel)
Cory Monteith (Finn)
Heather Morris (Brittany)
Matthew Morrison (Will)
Mike O'Malley (Burt)
Amber Riley (Mercedes)
Naya Rivera (Santana)
Mark Salling (Puck)
Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina)

16. Jeez.

I dearly miss Emma, but couldn't care less about Teri and Burt. I mean, I'm sure Burt'll come back into the picture if Kurt winds up homecoming king with Blaine or whatever, but yeah. :lol

I'm glad they cooled it on the main (I mean, actually main) characters for awhile (Will, Rachel, Finn, Sue), but I hope they return in a big way soon.

I want Mike Chang and his abs to stay. He's funny. I think, next season, they will let go Puck and maybe Sam since his storyline with Quinn seems like a rehash from last year with Finn, IMO. They are the less interesting couple.

LOL COURAGE

At least Beiste is likable and Sue --as always-- hilarious.

If Ian writes the next genuinely good episode, he NEEDS to get in complete control of this show immediately.

Hm, in California there most definitely is tournament structure. I forgot how it worked but I remember going to Las Vegas for a big tournament, where the 1st place winner went on to a bigger tournament.

So the last episode was horrible

and this one awesome.

Three gay guys, more of Bieste and Puck/Artie. Generally very likable stuff! Add some Sue, a small piece of asian and good songs that actually fit the situation somewhat!

C O U R A G E - Blaine

And haha.. the bully gay kid.. hasn't this happened before or was I just imagining that? They HAVE hinted at this happening right? Cause I had serious deja-vu going on when I saw the kissage.

What's a Gary-Stew?

Oh and I can definitely see Kurt getting with him. Would be cool! He seems really sweet :)

It happened on Degrassi!

I still can't get over how goofy Kurt looked as he was being serenaded by the all boy's choir. It was like a kid at Christmas!

Mmm.. something similar happened during an early season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer with Xander and some other guy in the locker room I think.

I'm pretty sure Jessalyn probably won't be keeping her reg status next season. They are already having trouble fitting her in this year. I think she works better as a recurring character anyway.

And as much as I like Mike O'Malley's role on the show, I don't know why he's a regular. Harry and Chord aren't regulars (yet) and they are in almost every episode compared to Mike coming in only for Kurt and/or Finn episodes.

Anyway, I fully support adding Darren as a regular.

Gary-Stew is the male form of the Mary-Sue.

And I was not insinuating a relationship between Kurt and Blaine in my previous comment.

I just saw the clip of the bully kissing Kurt. Omfg the writers are total hacks. Take a stereotype and spin it into another stereotype. Ridiculous.

I thought the scene itself was pretty well-acted, but I agree that it's very unrealistic and doesn't send a very healthy message to gay kids in the audience. I would have far less of a problem with the show's use of that trope had this storyline not been hyped to hell as a SERIOUS EXAMINATION of a SERIOUS REAL-WORLD PROBLEM that sends a POSITIVE AND INSPIRING MESSAGE TO GAY KIDS IN REAL SMALL TOWNS, or just if this episode had used the gay bully's (presumably straight) African-American friend, which would have both made this episode feel like a more natural follow-up to Theatricality and prevented the episode from sending a blanket message that bullies who single out gay kids for torment are gay themselves.

Started watching the show again from the beginning (third time through maybe, I'm desperately in love with this show :lol) -- I forgot how awesome the pilot actually was. The sequence introducing the original five cast members doing their auditions...pitch perfect down to the last Slushee hitting Rachel.

And who remembered that Will is a goddamned Spanish teacher? :lol :lol

Now that Darren Criss is gonna be a regular, here's hoping some other StarkidPotter alums show up.. I'd kept expecting to see the guy who played Ron in AVPM to come in at some point, or the girl who played Draco.

AVPM was pretty hilarious, those guys deserve more breakout roles.

Not the writers, apparently.

GLEE's Teenage Dream Is Expected To Top The Charts!

WOW! This is HUGE!

According to the Billboard Charts, Darren Criss' AMAZING cover of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream on Glee this week is expected to sell from 150,000 to 175,000 downloads on iTunes, which would make it the single-best sales week for a single from the series - even better than the current number one - Don't Stop Believin' by Journey!

Holy shiz!

Amazing!

If Criss weren't secured a regular spot already, he'll DEFINITELY be getting one now!

Watch Gwyneth Sing On Glee!

We're not going to lie, we had our reservations about Gwyneth Paltrow singing one our favorite songs of the year on Glee. In fact, we equate our initial reaction to Princess Lea Michele's face in this clip.

But now, having watched Gwyneth throw down with Cee-Lo's Forget You, you feel a bit better about it.

Check out the video of Gwyn getting on the Glee club's good side with this jam! (above)

Thoughts?

I always knew Gwyneth could sing since Duets. I don't get the hate (I mean I kinda do, but not really).
