I really liked both the episode and the songs this week with Rachel's being my favorite. Artie, wow. I felt for Brittany when she started crying :( Her interview with Lord Tubbington was awesome <3<3. He was the best part of the episode, tbh.

Sue's shtick is becoming tiresome but I don't care if that's the reason The Honey Badger Terri is on my TV. I guess their plan to get Will out of McKinley is going to get revisited since we didn't have any resolution on that.

Oh April, you know about Sue's plan and you still don't do anything about it? Bad April.

I felt bad for Sam until the point where he started crying. Chord is yummy but he needs to learn how to act, that killed the moment. And I love Blaine and all but it was a breath of fresh air to not have him on the show, this episode.

Preview for the Prom episode: http://youtu.be/wRVZuiFzGAY. It looks intense. I spoiled myself with the "shocking" event but still, I want to see how it plays out. Hate that
Jesse
is back since I never liked his character.
i love how the youtube link has "GAY" in it lol.

The Santana song to Britney was really moving. I think this was a pretty great episode overall; liked pretty much every cover. I agree with others that Sue is starting to grate. Like, her actions are just WAY over the top. I guess they are going with her cheerleading loss breaking her win streak has made her absolutely nuts, I dunno. :s

Oddly enough, I think if Will leaves, Sue should take over Glee. Eventually these kids are going to have to graduate. It would be fun seeing Sue take a whole bunch of new Glee kids under her wings. Like an evil glee club would be cool to watch is what I'm saying.

Doesn't know that "You" is used in both the singular and plural
I watched some of this last night...... This is really bad writing. That entire dialogue between blond-bro and the couple was ..... it was written and directed poorly. The girls acting ability appears to be limited to making sad faces. The guy just stared. I don't know if the show is any good, but that last part was some of the worst tv I've seen this year.

Yeah, I like Jane Lynch and all but Sue has become one of the worst aspects of the show imo.
I have to agree with this (and Jane Lynch used to be my main reason for watching). Her dialogue's still fun, but there's not even a semblance of a trajectory for her.

Yeah, they just need to get back to writing the teachers as actual teachers instead of acting like man-children. The only people who actually act like adults seem to be Kurt's dad and Jayma Mays' character. And I'm still waiting for the Coach to come back. Not being football season didn't stop the last coach from showing up.

I've finally caught up with the episodes I've missed. The writing isn't improving but at least I had some fun. The episode with the fund raising concert is one of the worst I've seen. What's even the point of Charice on the show. It's seem they just shoved her in there to show she can sing. Schuester is a train wreck. How many love interest must he fails to win to finally succeed? For some reason Lauren was evil in this episode and the writers fail at fleshing Mercedes. Most of her scences involves her acting like a diva or singing in a competiton against someone.

The Born this way episode was good. I liked Kurt's song and most of the time his singing voice annoy me. I'm not too sure about where the plot with Karofsky/Santana is going. I think it's still pretty dumb that all of sudden it's Kurt and her that blackmails the bully. Darren Criss is good at singing but not at acting. My god that goodbye scene was so corny and tacky. Shouldn't they have spent time talking to each other about the decision instead? The Brittany/Santana plot is really well crafted so far. Santana has really been amazing in those last episodes.

This week episode was pretty weak. For some reason the club has no problem believing Sam is gay and that Kurt is cheating with him. Rachel once again try to sink Finn and Quinn's relationship and Emma cured her OCD in one week after taking her magical pills. Chenoweth has an amazing voice but once again she was pointless. Simply another obstacle between Will and Emma after Terri and Hollie. Redeeming part was Santana/Brittany scenes and Brittany's hilarious fondue for two interview with her cat. Bonus points for no Blaine in the episode.

Next week looks promising. Rachel and Quinn cat fight!

The writers have no shame. Song is popular -> Let's do it on the show so we can sell our version on Itunes!
They cover lots of obscure stuff that hardly anyone has ever heard of too though, so on average it cancels each other out.

The Glee people doing the vocals doesn't somehow make the horrendous lyrics and awful music better.

Have they? I've missed more than a few episodes this season, but looking at the listing everything it's pretty well known. Nothing could be called obscure.

I had never heard over half the songs they covered this season before in my life (admittedly including big hits like Animal, Afternoon Delight and Somebody to Love, so I may be living under a rock when it comes to music come to think of it).

I think Blaine's next song (with Brittany and Tina) is genuinely obscure though. The one with the really long title.

It's pretty fucking disgraceful how little concern Murphy has for the quality of his own show.

I don't know how anyone (save kypt0nian) could defend something as horrid as that Rebecca Black cover.

LOL! The song is horrifying but come on, it's harmless. It's not going to win any awards and I'm sure this was done as a joke. Yeah, it's dumb and crappy and the lyrics can only be compared to the greatness that was "My Headband" but ngl, it's catchy as hell.

As for the other songs in the episode, Rolling In The Deep is pretty good.

The joke being, "How to latch on to a lame internet phenomenon just to make money?"
Glee went past the point of having dignity with the second half of season one. You shouldn't really be surprised.

I don't see the hate. Considering the personalities of the Glee group it makes sense that they would know and think of 'covering' Friday simply as a joke.

I'm not that surprised, but still, covering that Rebecca Black song is a new low, even for Glee.

Let them spin and dance, it's waaaay more fun to watch. *grin*

A full 10% of the fun is watching the pretty kittens that hate the show. This thread is a goldmine.

That Crowther girl is just an utter moron though. I'll reserve my pity for someone actually deserving.
You don't threaten to destroy someone's career over a fucking spoiler. People spoil themselves on Glee plots and musical numbers all the time around here.

Her intelligence aside, it's downright evil for Falchuk to say, "Hope you're qualified to do something besides work in entertainment."

His other statement made me laugh, though:

"Who are you to spoil something talented people have spent months to create?"

Because we all know Glee is so meticulously, painstakingly crafted.

Groff sounds fantastic on that.

Again, I didn't know half of these songs before Glee. I'm pretty sure the balance between popular/zeitgeisty covers and relative obscurity is quite even.
Not to be mean, but it could just what you said: you may be slightly under a rock :p For instance, Rolling in the Deep is a pretty famous song now. Plenty of radio play, praise from all over.

Regarding the spoiler, that might just be the stupidest plot I've ever heard. Honestly, I don't know why I keep watching this show...
