The article is based on a report from Lunatic Ignus (reputable chinese leaker) that says on his Discord server that Nixxes is working on a remastered version of all greek saga games, including Ascension. To be revealed next year and announced in March 2025.

Pay attention then, new games have been coming out and will come out. If this rumor is true then it's a port/remaster studio doing a remaster. That's what this studio does. Many, MANY other studios are making new games.
 
If this ends up being true, I am going to legitimately LOL, and not in the good way. Jesus Christ, Sony is making the jokes write themselves at this point.

These games are all remastered on the PS3. My local store has disc copies if you need it.

Sure, but you need a PS3 to play the entire original trilogy on one system.

I don't mind a remaster of the original trilogy because I and II aren't available on any recent system as far as I'm aware. The only way to play them all besides having a PS3 is through RPCS3.

Good for you, Skippy. This year you can start with Astro Bot, Helldivers 2, MLB24, LEGO Horizon, Destiny 2 The Final Shape and published games like Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade. Next year already has Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei announced.

Whining because a port/remaster studio is rumored to be making a remaster is immensely stupid.

The PS3 versions aren't directly.playable on PS4/PS5. They are available on PS Plus Premium streaming.

As some others here are thinking, I'm also thinking they might edit certain scenes. They'll receive criticism from certain people if they choose to edit those scenes, and criticism from other people if they leave them unaltered.
 
If true, big meh from me, but I can just ignore it and move on!
Everyone complaining about Nixxes' talent being "wasted" on HZD should be happy with this, though.

About time. They've been stuck on the PS3 for way too long. I suppose 3 is also on the PS4, but it'd be nice to get a higher resolution than 1080p as the game is gorgeous.

All you need to know to stop listening, hate to be the buzzkill, but he is not actually a reputable leaker, its only he who calls himself a reputable leaker in posts that he himself writes about his "leaks"

Not sure how/why people are repeating it after him, funny how that strategy has actually worked out for him and continuously fooled so many. Nevermind, if you check the reddit history of the account who has posted it then its painfully obvious its him yet again pretending to be a 3rd party "reporting" on his own leaks and calling himself reputable to make it seem more credible

That aside it would be cool if it was true, but i am tired of this attention seeking fraudster, not tired of exposing his bs though.

lol, I can't wait for folks to whine when God of War 2018 also gets an inevitable remaster in the lead-up to the Amazon series. While it hasn't leaked yet, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that it's coming. There is no PS5 SKU of that game and Sony will want a "current" SKU of the game to sell to new audiences who discover the IP through the TV show, just like Uncharted, TLOU, Horizon (until the Netflix series ran into issues with its showrunner), Until Dawn and apparently Days Gone with its rumored remaster.
 
Sony will do everything they can to avoid remastering Bloodborne.

At very least just do a PS5 update for it.

Most of those games are slop. I bought a PS5 for quality not flavour of the month. Only Astro Bot is worthy of praise. 🤷‍♂️

Whether any of them appeal to you in particular makes no difference to me. There are plenty of new games in addition to these remaster/remake projects.
