Custom stream filters would also be good (if they don't already exist)
That's one bold claimSimleuqiR said:+username label system could be implemented, just like in Gmail.
I'm going to say this now, but I think Google+ is going to do to Social Networks what Gmail did to web base email services.

It's like Twitter's Direct Message, but better! In Twitter you can't DM multiple people AFAIK. In G+ I was able to "+username" three friends of mine, and the post on the stream was only accessible by them. Also another friend of mine couldn't see the post in my stream (wall) since he was not included. Mind you, all of them are in the same Circle.
This is awesome!!
Baconbitz said:2. What is the difference between tagging someone (+Username) and when posting something taking out the circles and just putting one persons name in there?
kurtrussell said:It's pretty much the same thing. If you start a post with +Username, then he's added in the circle section at the bottom also. Be careful though, I just tried that and the circle section already had "Public" in it, and it just added his name to it, so the post would have gone out to everyone PLUS him - not the most intuitive thing in the world

I hope that does happen. Would make me happy.

Yeah, I sent feedback stating that the sharing field when making a post should always be empty and should never default to any previously used circle or person.kurtrussell said:It's pretty much the same thing. kurtrussell said:Ha! I also sent feedback on this - I suggested that the moment you mention someone at the start of a post using + it should remove the public tag when it adds them to the post..
As an aside, the google feedback tool is really nifty. It takes a screengrab, allows you to highlight certain areas, black out certain parts of personal information and annotate as appropriate. From a support perspective, that is an absolutely amazing tool....
Someone should getting working on a chrome/firefox addon.kurtrussell said:It would be officially the best thing ever if Mr Gaf himself added a +1 button to every post. That way, a GAFfer could +1 the post to his circle of GAF buddies to draw their attention to a post.
I could see it really being useful for time limited threads: Something like "New game XYZ limited beta signups TODAY" or "24 hour sale at Steam / GOG" - someone +1s that and we all get to benefit.....

I wouldn't want every random pic I take online.
Why? You just take the photos and sort it out later. It's not like they're public or anything. It was actually INSTANT, too. It wasn't 4 or 5 or even 30 seconds. I pressed the shutter button on my phone and refreshed my Mac and the photo was there. Thats soooooooooo ill.Enco said:I don't get the hype for auto image upload.

Mr. Snrub said:I like MS's implementation of it with WP7. All my photos upload/backup to Skydrive, and the album has a privacy setting I can change. I wouldn't want all pictures I take uploading to a public album on my page.

Basically one for homegrown porn and one for everything else.

i want my homegrown porn backed up, so when i delete it from my phone i can say "see, its not there anymore!"
If you reshare something, only the original post is shown.sun-drop said:question:
so say i have a post in a certain circles stream ...and it's got a bunch of comments from my mates ..... now what i i decided i wanted to share my orig post also with my mum , so i go to that post of mine and hit the share button and add her in .....
does she see just the post .... or all the comments too? and what controls that?
cause lets say i DON't want my mum to see all the comments ...
but what say those comments are so funny i just have to share it with some one outside tht cirle who i DO want to see that particular post AND comments ...
Yeah nvm, you can't see the commentsEnco said:If you reshare something, only the original post is shown.
If you add someone to the permissions they will see the post and comments.
Someone should confirm that just to be on the safe side.
Enco said:I guess if the upload is to a private album by default then it's not too bad.
Would be great for family get togethers and parties.
Veidt said:When I first started using Facebook. It confused the hell out of me. But after a time, I began to understand it ( still don't get most of it. you can't even edit your comments? wtf.)
It seems as if the people who are using G+ now and find it confusing, had in the back of the minds, the idea that it'd function to the way they're used to. In a facebook way, so to speak. Which is a faulty way of thinking in my opinion.
If you've always been using a Windows machine, you will sure as hell be confused when you first get your hands on a Mac machine and vice versa. It's not a flaw, but a different experience that you need to accomodate and adapt to.

The people you reshare the post with will see the name of the original poster and the content, but not any comments or +1's on the original post.
