Might be first actual report of possible collusion between Campaign (via Flynn) and Russia.

WASHINGTON—Before the 2016 presidential election, a longtime Republican opposition researcher mounted an independent campaign to obtain emails he believed were stolen from Hillary Clinton's private server, likely by Russian hackers.

In conversations with members of his circle and with others he tried to recruit to help him, the GOP operative, Peter W. Smith, implied he was working with retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, at the time a senior adviser to then-candidate Donald Trump.

The operation Mr. Smith described is consistent with information that has been examined by U.S. investigators probing Russian interference in the elections.

Those investigators have examined reports from intelligence agencies that describe Russian hackers discussing how to obtain emails from Mrs. Clinton’s server and then transmit them to Mr. Flynn via an intermediary, according to U.S. officials with knowledge of the intelligence.

This is collusion.

Trump's offer was obvious. Pro Russia rhetoric, removal of penalties, and Exxon deal.

Now, this is what he got in exchange (in addition to all the loans, etc)

This is a lot of nothing as far as a big boom. We have had people like Roger Stone openly admit months ago they were in direct contact with the Hackers.

This revelation maybe gets Flynn in more trouble but then again its a dead man claiming something and it again establishes a pretty clear Trump was not involved narrative

GOP operative sought to obtain hacked Clinton emails.

Operative apparently was working with or was contacted by Flynn regarding the emails.

I'm so fucking glad the internet was not around (publicly) during Watergate.

Probably would've gotten a ton of "nothing's gonna happen!" losers back then too.

The most important thing right now is bringing down Flynn. That forces Trump to pardon a proven traitor or it opens the door for Flynn to flip on Trump.

I mean this was a bit of an obvious when nothing GOP got leaked. They weren't even willing to smokescreen it by leaking their own data

probably also why nobody is giving Flynn immunity, they have him pretty walled in
