Empire Ants is amazing.

Yeah it was Empire Ants, the intro is great, but once it hits the apex and changes into the rhythmic tune, totally mind blown.

Um, I just figured there was some segmented play through I didn't know about. I'm listening while doing other things so I'm not hearing changes in songs until it's blatantly obvious, and I can hardly keep track of it. Guess everybody is just listening a lot closer than I am.

I kinda am :lol But I'm preoccupied with other things as the tracks play in the background, so sometimes I'm tuning out the songs. What evs, I'll just give this a more in depth listen later.

I'm blown away. My expectations were sky high and it somehow topped them. I don't think that's ever happened. The production on this is so amazing/unique/insane (and to think I was worried when I heard Danger Mouse wasn't coming back). Just wow.

Wow, this may be the best surprise in a while for me! I didn't even know Gorillaz were releasing a new album anytime soon (but I also never keep up with new CD releases). Time to give this bad boy a listen, I <3 me some Gorillaz.

EDIT: Due to people saying how awesome "Empire Ants" was, and the fact that I'm slightly impatient, I did the math and checked where each song starts on that NPR player. The slider kind of sucks, and it's hard to get an exact time, so just get as close as you can. Only track I haven't really liked is Welcome to the World. It feels like a track specifically created to be an introduction to the album. Which is strange because there's an actual intro.

The best song I've heard is Empire Ants. Seriously check out Little Dragon. They are swedish, their lead singer is Japanese, and she sounds like Erykah Badu.

Not sure why I can't really get into White Flag. The orchestra is obviously extremely talented and I don't hate the verses, but it's just not really working for me.

I absolutely love the album.

For some reason, On Melancholy Hill hits me the hardest, it's definitely my favorite right now. I can't even explain why, but something about all of the song's more subtle sounds just gets right to me.

I'm also particularly fond of Sweepstakes, mostly cause it sounds like it belongs on the Ecstatic.
