I have also seen a mod on Nexus which bypasses the minimum 6 GB VRAM check. This is comical. Yet another case where modders (and also pirates) provide a better experience for the end user than the actual developer/publisher.

The requirement has been officially patched out, but the dev still recommends 6GB or more.
