Gran Turismo Sport - Interlagos Circuit trailer

The ”lack” of content doesn't bother me one bit actually. This looks to be the most focused and consistent game in the series since GT3. Quality over quantity.

I would have to agree. Seems like a more "tight" package than usual, which I appreciate. It appears to be the game to finally get me into the PS4 ecosystem.

The Car Classes trailer is really good, very noticeable aliasing in the cars and tracks trailer though.

Thank god for the beta, but man, that track and car list is really the most disappointing thing ever (outside of Vision GTs), and that's the meat and potatoes of racing games.

Can't believe a photo mode is my main motivation to get a racing game.

Are these cars really different or lots of them are duplicates? For example, are these unique cars?
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - N300
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr3
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr4
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr.B Rally
Lancer Evolution Final Edition - Gr.B Road Car

Or these?
Ferrari 458 Italia - N600
Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 - Gr3
Ferrari 458 Italia - Gr4

And these:
Peugeot RCZ Gr.3
Peugeot RCZ Gr.4
Peugeot RCZ Gr.B Rally Car
Peugeot RCZ GT Line
Peugeot RCZ Gr.3 Road Car

If they're duplicates, GTS have a little more than 100 unique cars.

Can't wait to see DAIHATSU COPEN RJ Vision Gran Turismo!

Man, PD is notorious for doing shit like this and it's annoying.

Besides "career" and lack of dynamic weather/TOD (Driveclub really spoiled me in this regard), I find that track list far more disappointing then the car list, tbh. I'd always trade 10, hell, maybe even 20 cars for one more track.

I'm still leaning towards buying it since PC2 crapped the bed so spectacularly and I'm itching for something to convince me not to rebuy XBO again; last time for FH3, this time for F7.

This title in particular might have the most inflated car roster of all time. Cars are thrown into classes that they don't belong in just so you can add one more to the total track list. 600hp Mazda 6s, lol okay let's run these next to Vantages and Mustangs.

And that's before you get to really boring selections in general which are a function of the classes they chose.

The roster really doesn't have breadth or depth.

At least it looks pretty, I guess.

I really hope that is not the case.

that track list makes me very disappointed

I am one unlike many obviously that appreciate the GT tracks a lot more and want them. They feel more fun to me and well that makes me not even want to play this so much.

With the progression not marred by micro-transactions or loot boxes.

This might be the racing game of the generation.

I really hope...

Maybe something in between? Is it really that important to have cars with tiniest little details for the scapes and photo modes? Besides it's going to make introducing new cars a pain in the ass if they are to maintain similar quality.

The meaning and purpose of 'premium' cars in GTS goes beyond the level of detail that we will see even on photo mode on PS4.

The game being rebuilt from the ground up, Polyphony has chosen to take a forward-thinking approach to car models, since this re-architecture needs to serve as foundation moving forward several years. They are building models to the level of detail that will scale to the next few console generations (PS5, PS6...etc) and not be outdated. So, when you ask "Is it really that important to have cars with the tiniest little details...", the answer is a resounding "yes", but it's not just for "scrapes and photo modes".

Group B rally cars! Neat!

I wo see if they'll include one of those "fan cars" with ridiculous down force.

OK its official at first glance I can't tell if some of those bullshots are game or real life.
And then I went to buy PC2 today because of all those missing tracks(in GT).

Love the new trailers, especially the cars trailer. They really have a competitive sports feel to them, probably a good thing as that's what GT Sport is going for.

Looking forward to finally having a new GT game, especially one that is shaking up the old formula to try something new.

This post from gtplanet perfectly describes this mess of a car list:

Wait, let me get this straight - I only just saw this. They invent race versions derived from real road cars, and then they invent road cars derived from the invented race cars?

I have to sleep over this...

lmfao

I... I shouldn't have watched this. These clips and photos are absurd!

And there's even an Honda Civic! So I can continue my personal tradition to run Civic's Time Trials at Nur. I feel like this game will be a lot of things for me.

I have zero faith on PD putting out consistent content updates. I would really like to be proven wrong.

PD supported both 5 and 6 rather well, going by that Sport will get a great amount of support. I fully expect a dozen cars and maybe 1 track every month or two. The big question is are they going to make it all paid DLC's, hopefully not.

If it was free, we'd be hearing about it for months now. Plans can change however according to how preorder numbers and general consumer sentiment is before release. Like if they planned for it all to be paid DLC, they may change it so maybe the first year's worth or the first few big content drops are free etc if expectations are not being met.
