Granblue Fantasy |OT| English Translation available as of 2016/04/11!

I'm still playing FFRK, but mainly because I've played it since day 1. Like an MMO, it's hard to let go after so much investment. The 30 stam daily dungeons is really nice because I can spend all my stam really quickly and forget it about it for 8 hours.

Brave Exvius almost grabbed me (I love the sprites in that game), but thankfully there was a lot of warning from Brave Frontier players about the really low 5* rates from that company. I'm trying to maintain playing a maximum of two mobile gacha games. Not that I spend much money on these games, but that it's incredibly time consuming.

Granblue, funnily enough, has almost replaced FFXIV for me. I only log in for raiding now...

Yeah, I've pretty much stopped playing FFRK too. Only logging in daily for the free mythril. I just can't juggle two gacha games at once, and Granblue already takes up a lot of my time. Really like this game

Just started playing Tales of Asteria to try and get to level 30 before the collab event begins. Thank god there's an auto button because I have no idea what I'm doing.

Sorry but what is a Ranko summon? I've looked through the guide and didn't find anything.

Oh man Yuri's sword is Dark, time to farm that bitch.

During the IM@S collab you could get an event summon called "Brynhildr" (Ranko Kanzaki). Using her call X times gives you a "Ranko Kanzaki" copy. This summon is basically an omega summon for Unknown weapons.

So the ideal set up for light pool would be 7 luminiera guns+bahamut dagger+cosmic gun+sakura wars event gun+ luminiera omega summon?

Yes. Something like this.

Oh man what have I done... Granblue was supposed to be something I played but didn't care about while waiting for stamina to regenerate in FFRK... now I just play this and forget to even log in for daily mythril in FFRK sometimes, and the path to getting good is so much more complicated here...

Yeah, same :(

I still play FFRK and finish events but my stamina remains untouched most of the time. Sometimes I need to force myself to turn the game on lol. Mastered the Kuja U+ fight literally two minutes before the event ended, still haven't started the second page of the FF7 event, not really motivated to buy these accessories... I still like the game a lot, especially the combat system but I'm just enjoying GBF much more. I think the reason (or part of it) is that there's a bigger sense of progression outside the gacha aspect in Granblue. It's still RNG based but there's a chance you can make your team stronger every time you turn on the game. And there's so much to do, you're not limited to just one thing as is the case with FFRK most of the time.

And the funny thing is that I'm a completionist and I missed out on so much in Granblue, plus it's so much harder to catch up than FFRK, but I don't mind one bit.

I've reached the point where i've run out of easy crystals to get. :(
All thats left are some grandblueschannel quests that are a bit too strong for me, ExtraCoop and the R/SR/Race only quests.
Time to save up for legendfests forever.

FFRK is at least a year out from becoming anywhere complicated - record dive for example is just a second set of collectibles and stat growth, of which GBF has like 5-6 different systems, with their own loot, etc. already.

It's just how gacha games roll, really - you keep adding wheels as time goes by to keep the interest there. PAD is one of the only other games that's lasted beyond two years and it's kinda absurd to get into now even if the mechanics are rather simplistic at its core.

What likely sets Granblue apart honestly are the systems that encourage people to use things outside of the game - guild mechanics (which are still in their infancy with Grand Order raid for example) to scouring twitter for Omega raids, etc. There's a sense of immediacy and urgency on top of the usual limited event period framework that keeps retention high.

There's also the option to Surprise Ticket your way into a good team, which alleviates bad streaks. Even if it's not an option for everyone, and Cygames might lose out on some of the really, really high end whaling, it creates a much larger userbase capable of getting to endgame, and thus again retention.

Yeah, I wanted to mention Surprise and Start Dash Tickets as well, as something that gives a bit of an advantage in the fairness compartment compared to other gacha games.

Ohhhhh right. I've seen that summon around.

When does more stuff appear in casino? Much of it is stuff I have no interest to get beyond animas and elixirs/berries.

Ive gone from a measly 2000 coins in casion this week to now half a million just from poker. Screw slots, never touching that again.

win more coins and more things will get unlocked

the final tier of prizes is when you can buy the wind gun to unlock the casino boss for only 77mil coins

Took my noob ass long enough to get the rotation just right since I had to tank two Ougis per overdrive.

Falk-tier progression!

To get Millia as a character for the collab event,

I need to

1. get to level 30 on Tales of Asteria
2. Do I need to link the account? It doesn't require a Bamdai Namco account..does it?

1) yes.
2) yes and no. When they implement the account linking feature, it will be done automatically. Just make sure to have them both in your phone.

At last - I'm done with this event!! Got both the Dream Atlas and Ikelos summon max uncapped. First event where I got everything.

Now I hoe it'll take a while until we get another damn water event. Bring on the wind events!

Does this step still exist when creating accounts? I can't for the life of me find anywhere to enter serial numbers. The only banner that is Japanese is the Tales of Vesperia one.
