I doubt that's their motivation.
More likely, trying to prevent people from going around and killing everyone in the server only to quit before the game saves.

Yeah you can create emblems at any time, even if you aren't the creator of the crew. It just adds it as an option at the bottom of the crew screen
Almost had number 1 when a car slip streamed me and rammed me off the map. Was bumped back to fourth place. Assholes lol.

Finally learned how to use the weapons on the jet. I really gotta remember to close up the wheels when flying one next time >_>
And holy crap at what just happened to me. Decided to steal a car since I left mine at the airport and a few seconds later I get a text from some "unknown" person who said I jacked his ride. This happened in a session that only included me and one other person. It wasn't the other person so I don't who sent the text. The unknown person even put a $9000 bounty on my head! Anyway, I was making my way to an ammo crate and when I arrive at the location, a SUV is sitting there and I'm getting shot at by some unknown assailants and I only had half full-health (just got done with a gang attack). I managed to survive the assault and get the ammo (and some RP). After that, went to another session that had more people and killed someone who had a $1000 bounty on their head. I decided to let that person kill me and get the reward.
And speaking of that gang attack, it took place at the construction site. It was quite the pain in the ass. I'm glad I had grenades with me. Tossed a few of them and luckily for me, I got a 1 star wanted level. Some police did arrive and took care of a few of the enemies that were left. I used a sticky bomb to kill the last guy lol.

You can make 9k every 5 minutes.

Yes, launch day problems are to be expexted. My time at the two biggest publishers we have in the industry left no doubt about it. But like Cyborgmatt mentioned, real money in form of micro-transactions is involved and every (major) company I've dealt with takes this very seriously.
NPCs can put a bounty on you.

Please tell me that once you do a coop mission you can actually do it again some day. It'd be extremely lame if you can run out of coop missions.

I was confused for the longest when Rockstar put game like TDM and Last Team Standing under the "missions" category. Like wtf. These aren't missions R*.
Then I figured out the actual missions are received though text messages from NPC's. Smh. May as well change that name to matchmaking because I was going around doing those missions aka team death-matches without feeling I was progressing in multiplayer.

Yep, I was confused at first too. If you're looking for people to do activities with (actual coop missions), you can add me. My friend list is empty so most of the time I'm doing them solo since no one is joining.

I'm glad you said this because I couldn't figure it out. I am never matched with anyone I'm playing with.
If it worked I bet it would be fun but I don't even bother doing these team "missions" now.

It's sad to see that Rockstar honored the single player in favor of the multiplayer. So many features present in the online mode that are absent in the single player mode.
It really is. And doing game modes like CTF or escort the VIP would be a blast with friends, but we never are on the same team. Ever.
Another game mode that looked fun to play is hunters vs runners. My friends got fighter jets and I was partied with randoms on dirt bikes. It really is stupid how they implemented the party system in this game. But yeah, you're better off doing the jobs you receive via text messages from Lamar, Gerald, etc. because those are more akin to missions done in campaign. And you're guaranteed to be doing it alongside your friends.

If the host has team balancing turned off, you can switch teams during the betting phase (the bit where you see everyone lined up). It also helps if you're in a Crew, they normally put you together.

Its under online options I think, you can maximize the map. Happened to me. Its there somewhere.

Rockstar probably first wants to erase everyones progress so they are more inclined to buy and lower mission money reward to $20 and hospital bills to $5k

My problem is i can't get any free insurance or clothes or any of the tutorial stuff and have no clue how to after the update.
Should i even attempt to play? I can't do anything past attempting to get in since the cloud servers are down.

After patch played the fabled tutorial, came 4 out of 8 should have been 3rd but 2nd place and I had a car battle that I foolishly spun myself backwards trying to be too agressive.
Then this piece of shit game crapped it's pants again and I stared at a 'tips' screen for 15 minutes until my vacation began and I left the house.
Oh well hope it's working in a week, tutorial wasn't a bad race
