Grand Theft Auto V: Announcement Trailer Nov. 2nd

Out of nowhere as far as I'm concerned.

No doubt the locale will be very well realised as they always have been. But it's the story that'll be the biggie.

Nico didn't interest me in the slightest so I think, having purchased the two GTA4 expansions, I should check it and them out again.

Out of all my complaints about GTA4, car handling was never one of them. In fact I found the car handling to be easier and more intuitive than Niko handling.

I used to love the GTA games, San Andreas being one of my favorite games ever. But I really hope they improve on the aiming system in this one. I hate the lock-on auto aim, and manual aim was pretty terrible in 4. Other than that can't wait for the trailer.

That's..unexpected.

I hope they ditch the GTA 4 car handling and goes back to San Andreas style.

I hope they ditch EVERYTHING they did in 4 (friend bullshit, "realistic" characters/style, horrendous scenario design, terrible driving, etc.) and go back to the FUN style of GTA.

Never played GTA IV. Maybe I should...

Just play the DLC episodes and ignore the base game. They are better in every way, though that's not saying much. GTAIV was just a badly designed game.

No thanks. I can whip around corners no problem with most of the super cars in GTA IV. You just have to......brake. I know, unheard of.

The GTA IV expansions were better than the original. One thing is certain, Rockstar gamed the review system to inflate the scores beyond what the original GTA IV deserved. I hope people bear that in mind this time around. Who am I kidding? Of course they won't.

What engine did GTA 4 use, and is it well suited to bigger, countryside style expanses? I'm guessing that may not even be possible.

Wonder if they've got the engine running at 720p native on the PS3 now? Hopefully.

They won't. That would set off some serious and I mean SERIOUS fireworks from alot of parties, both black and white.

Oh for sure, but if anyone can do it it's R*. They're no stranger to controversy.

Consider me hyped. But I do hope that Rockstar is taking a step backwards, I pretty much prefer Vice City and San Andreas over GTA IV which was too serious.

I will probably get this on PS3 just for my friends but it will be mighty tempting if it's on PC at the same time as consoles too.

I would love Grand Theft Auto V to look like this gta4-mod

or even better!
This mod that is extremely difficult to run on PC hardware that is 10 times as powerful as current-generation console hardware.

Not gonna happen. Maybe if they were delaying it for the next console generation, but that seems unlikely.

Ditch 90% of GTA4s bullshit and we are golden.

GTA4 just wasnt fun...brilliant storytelling amazing characters, very high production values....but fun factor 0/10.

If they pull the same bullshit for GTAV im out, trick me once shame on you, trick me twice shame on me.

Saints Row 3 till forever!

I really liked the driving in GTA 4. It's unrealistic but not laughably so like GTA 3. Than again I play a lot of racing sims so the concept of brakes is not new to me.

How have you people not said Chicago yet?

Because the only really interesting time period for Chicago would be the 1930s. Which would be great but not sure if they would use a mainline GTA for that and not something akin to RDR.

It's funny cuz it's true!

Seeing as it looks like it will be about the pursuit of the almighty dollar. I wonder if we'll see Mr Love back , maybe have the recession hitting him and his businesses hard. That would be fun.

I'd love to see Mr Love back, I always wondered what happened to him after his disappearance.

I seem to be in the minority when I say that I enjoyed GTA4 a lot. Review scores and meta percentage aside, I thought the game was pretty cool. I actually didn't miss all the crap I could do in Vice City and SA.
The characters in GTA4 were great too.

Lost and Ballad were definitely better overall though.

Bingo. GTA 4 was a fucking tedious chore to finish. Incredibly surprising and sad given how 3, SA and especially VC were pure, unbridaled FUN.

Just play the Saints Row games instead, dude.....

Leave the serious, mature gaming to the rest of us....real life ain't fun!

I'm going to have to put my money on Vegas. The suggested money theme and the V seems to point to that. I know I'm reaching but ... we'll see.

Unless you've finished The Witcher 2, I don't want any lip from you!
