Is it just me, or does this game look better on the Xbox?

Played a few days ago on the Xbox, thrilled.
Played last night on PS3... unimpressed by tons of jaggies
Got it for Xbox this morning, back to being thrilled.

I was going to wait for this on PS4 - but wife surprised me yesterday buying it.

Holy shit - I'm glad I didn't wait. Such an awesome game (and I loved GTA4) but this just blows it away - and I've only just met Michael!

Drove all around the island with Franklin - the dune buggy is such a fun car to drive. They've nailed the driving and the atmosphere.

Non-stop Pop FM is becoming my guilty pleasure.

Is this the PS3 version in your eyes?

Still early in the game but its been great so far. Haven't gotten to Trevor or encountered too many other characters yet but Lamar is an early favorite.

Any details on the multiplayer? Only thing that is swaying me away from buying it. Really hope cops and crooks is back.

I have GTA already, but my UPS guy doesnt show until around 7PM every night. I stopped ordering game I want right away because of it.

my guy usually comes earlier. usually by the time i'm home from work (4:40pm) my package is there.

'course it's different today.

I love how aggressive the cops are. They have no problem driving head on into me when I'm on a bike

Tell me about it. I drove in to my garage to dodge them. Went back outside on foot but they just waited for me. Decided to stop running and let them bust me. But nope, they shot me on side. Wasn't even armed :lol

Not at all actually. Which is disappointing. I mean it's the best the GTA games have ever had but it still doesn't hit the heights of MP3.

To be fair though, Max Payne was strictly all about the shooting and not much more. So I think for what this game has and offers its def a great move forward.

sigh

Got home with GTA V for my Slim PS3.

Pop the game in and it spins a few times, then nothing. About ten/fifteen seconds later the drive makes a quick clunking sound and then stops...nothing else. The game never shows up in the game menu or starts up.

I can start the PS fine, get into the store, still load and play my downloaded titles. I tried a couple of different games and the same thing happened (they never showed up in game menu / never started).

I can stick a DVD in there and it plays it just fine...so the drive isn't dead.

I'm in the middle of an 8 hour full format from the system menu hoping that this fixes it. Anyone ever encounter something like this and have any other solution?

Thanks.

Okay, reserved my copy, should be starting it tonight! I'm excited.
Now to hope my PS3 won't crank it's fans up all the way, per usual. I wonder if there's a way to fix that before I start playing.

Edit: Playing some of the game right now, it's a lot better than the PSN version. The constant bits of pop in was driving me nuts, it's much better off disc. Things fade in in the distance only, nothing pops in right in front of you.

I am so bummed out about the lousy PSN version. I specifically bought it to get the best version of the game, but it turned out to be clearly the worst. The arrogance of selling an inferior and unfixable version of the game as a premium "preloadable" digital version offends me. Where do I turn my defective product in? Oh, now I remember, that is not allowed.

The chance of people at Rockstar and Sony not spotting the pop in issues before release is zero point zero. Considering the huge legal ramifications of doing so, no apology or reward will be issued to those affected by this. Instead, we will get the pleasure of paying full price for the disc version and maybe full price for pc also, in addition to what we paid for the PSN version.

As a last resort, has anyone with the pop in issues on the PSN version tried to replace the ps3 hard drive with an ssd? I would prefer to spend 150 dollars on this rather than buying the disc version.

Omg you can really hide from the cops if you pull into an alley and turn off the lights. Is this the first open world game to not feature psychic police?

Got for ps3. Im liking it alot. Exploring is alot of fun, graphics are good to great to stunning sometimes, dem sunsets on the ocean. Framerate sucks alot of the time :( , im okay with it though because the enivornments and draw distance is pretty dam good.

Game is running TERRIBLY on my Xbox. Pop Ins everywhere, and the game just restarted on me because of an issue with the storage device I saved it on, the storage device I saved it on is my official 360 harddrive. :|

If I have to buy a new HardDrive to play this game, ugh.

Why the fuck can't I mix and match different clothes items? I'm trying to wear some surf shorts with some Vans style sneakers, and when I put the shoes on, it automatically puts me in a suit. wat

Not quite.

But it's close if you get off the default settings. Up the sensitivity and turn off auto-aim and then it feels pretty good. Way better than GTA IV.

I died like crazy once I turned off auto-aim. The hip-firing isn't nearly as good as it is in Max Payne 3, and there's no shootdodge. I had to buy like 30 grenades for the next Trevor mission so I wouldn't pull my hair out trying to kill all those enemies without having to sit in cover all day. I wish it was easier to run and gun.

Got an email this afternoon from Tesco telling me that due to a system error I won't be getting the Collector's edition of V I pre ordered, which isn't the best really...

A couple of hours in, love it so far. When Michael and Franklin met I was hooked.

I've been so interested in the story that I haven't even done any open world messing around yet.

The little details in this game are astounding. For instance, when you switch to the cinematic cam during a chase, it shows the person you're chasing and you can hear them talking. Also, if you crash during dialog, the character will stop talking and then start again. It sounds so natural.
