Grand Theft Auto V |OT2| <Title available for purchase>

either this game just does a piss poor explanation of how garages work, or shit is just broke and saves your stuff half the time.

holy shit are these shooting challenges hard on ps3 controller. haven't played a shooter without generous auto aim on ps3 in... ever.

In that mission you should've snuck around the back, stealth killed the one dude and then took the van. No police no trouble.

I did the same thing as him and only realized that I shouldve done it smarter later. Man this game is going to have so much replayability. I'm a little worried I'm going through it too fast though.

Thank god we can replay missions

Edit: how does replaying missions affect your current save? Do you need to make a new save?

Disagree. I don't like a single song so far.

Just sharing a different PoV.
Even if it wasn't what the OP was talking about, I agree. I like a total of three songs in this game

All Saints - Pure Shores
Modjo - Lady
Stardust - Music sounds better with you

As you can imagine, I mainly listen to Non-Stop-Pop FM. I've tried listening to some of the other tracks... but they are really hard to get into. Ends up being irritating more than anything. Really disappointing in that aspect.

I just noticed if you make Chop happy in the iFruit app he will be able to search for hidden things in the world. So he does have more functionality it's just unfortunately hidden through the app.

The app just started working for me today.
Still doesnt work for me, eh

Playing as Trevor, did a random event where I stopped a lady's purse from being snatched. After killing the perp, I decided I wanted to keep the money AND kill the lady. I tried to run her over, but when I got close the car automatically stopped and Trevor got out to deliver her stolen money back.

This didn't sit right with me, as the lady was walking away with her $450 I knocked her to the ground and put two in the back of her head.

She only dropped $157. I want my other $300. Trevor is short on cash.

Early in the game there's a message that says you can replay any mission without effecting were you are in the story. So it should just be drop in/ out. Pretty sweet. Already a lot of missions I want to replay.

Hopefully his happiness isn't part of getting 100% because I don't have a smartphone or tablet. That would be a huge dick move by Rockstar if it is.

Coolest thing happened to me last night when I tried to jack a vehicle. I pulled my pistol at the driver who floors it. Instead of getting sent flying, im bent over the bonnet, being pushed along at 70mph. I keep firing my pistol and eventually hit the driver who veers right into the lane divider. I go flying off the bonnet, only to get flattened by a bus going the other way.

I really wish these consoles had game dvrs, so epic.

I was told to buy LifeInvader stock but it hasn't gone up. I didn't put a whole lot in it, but I'd expect it to rise at some point. I'm starting to think LCN stock follows IRL time rather than game time.

Are people really having trouble with flight controls? I haven't had any issues at all with them. No troubles in flight school or anything. If anything I think they're too easy...

Yeah, I passed almost every flight school mission on the first attempt (the only exceptions were a couple where you're supposed to land the plane and stop at a certain point, misjudged the stopping distance a bit on a few occasions). I find both the plane and helicopter controls completely intuitive and easy to grasp. That things get a bit wobbly and you have to fight the wind a bit is just fun. Pulling off tight maneuvers in the helicopter feels great because it isn't quite as easy as pointing the stick where you want to go.

So if you've always thought this series was boring because the missions have always been repetitive and shit, is this game still worth checking out? My buddy insists that the missions are much improved for this game, better variety and more depth.

It isn't required for 100%. You do, however, have to take him on at least one walk (of any length), and play fetch with him at least once.

Yes. So much yes.

And even better, much more interactivity and less cutscenes. Stuff from the trailers that I thought would be cutscenes, you actually play. A lot more mission choice to choose what you do. The pacing blows IV away; by like the second or third mission, you're already having shootouts and car chases

No bald cap? Lies!
So how much money is it actually possible to make on the stocks? I've only made pittance so far

You can make a lot depending, but it's really hard. You should be able to manipulate the stock market, but so far finding where to hit companies is super hard.

Maze Bank is at like 4 bucks for me and it has a record high for this week at 35 but its never gone up to that at all. Really its never gone above 5 bucks. That said if I could just find some Bank of Liberty assets, like trucks or something to destroy that should drive the BoL stock down and help Maze Bank's stock since they are rivals. But I've yet to see a single thing of BoL in this game, so I don't know what to do.

How the heck do I get more plane delivery missions? I bought that small hangar and got to make one delivery, and then nothing. There's no plane there anymore or anything. Do I have to purchase a new plane if I want to make more deliveries? Man, I don't have that kind of cash.

I only just now found out that you can save using your phone. I guess that solves that problem I've been having with missions starting at my house even when I just wanted to save the game.

also, it seems that missions at the house start when you touch the front door

if you park in garage and come in the garage door, it wont trigger

do u have to beat a certain mission to be able to rob places? i wanted to rob a clothes store but i couldn't select my weapon in there. then i tried robbing a medical marijuana place on the beach but i just scared the cashier, she never gave up any money/i couldn't touch the register or anything

I don't know but I never take my modded vehicles out for actual missions. I always just use them for errands or small stuff. Always keep them in the garage when you arent using them. I had to learn the hard way just like a lot of you guys. Sunk almost a quarter million into a really nice fucking Sultan. Left it to blow up a meth lab and it disappeared. Didn't end up in the in impound lot either.

Whats even the point of having car customization then? They should have just include car insurance in SP.

If you repeat heist missions can you get unlimited money or does it not save?

When you replay missions, it creates a temporary "save state" of your current game, then you replay the mission, it updates your mission stats/Medal ranking, and then loads up the "state" of the game previously.

So, to answer your question, no you can't get unlimited money from replaying heists.

I killt the racist bitch working Ponsonbys because she was all like hey why is your kind in here.

I don't know how you rob them though.

I think IV is the only one I haven't played but I haven't liked a single entry. This one is just getting rave reviews all over the place and my buddy made the missions sound better. I think he said eventually the plot lines converge and you bounce between three characters for a heist mission. That really sounds up my alley and has me considering a purchase. I basically just wanted confirmation that the game isn't a bunch of repetitive escort missions and such, that there is true variety.

So do we know of a way to make some good money outside of story missions yet? I want to buy some property in the hopes of steady income but it is all ridiculously expensive.

I can't say I like that certain things are locked off from certain characters, I flew a plane I stole to the hanger but because I was Michael the icons weren't there and so wouldn't save the plane. So unless my game is being a bit lane that kind of sucks, same for the property I own, only Trevor can do it to get income.

Stocks is all you need to make money, use the tips you hear make back up saves and make money.

When I want to store a plane in a hangar, do I just leave it there or do I have to press a button to save it there? Really don't want to lose this fighter jet.

can anyone comment on how cool the CE unlocks are like stunt plane missions?

the one that most interested me is blimp but thats in regular edition anyway (well mine anyway, perhaps first print run?)

Holy shit at the mission "Hood Safari"

back in CJs neighborhood Grove St cul de sac in a shoot out with Ballas. Trevor is along for the ride. The actual drug pick up is in a house where CJ's old house used to be. Urban synth beats dominate once again. Fucking perfection.

Do you know if you replay a mission and do better (get more cash) does it update the difference in your account?

I just finished the main story line - after a play time for 25 hours, it was a blast. Still got a bunch of side quests/? missions to do but so happy to have "digested" the story now.

Can't wait for more people to have finished so we can start to conversate and speculate about that ending(s)...

Game was the perfect swansong for this generation, can't be anymore happy.

Anyone else really annoyed by how easily people want to start a fight with you? I am constantly getting into fist fights when running around town.

Well, it really does depend which "side of town" you're on.

If you bump into people near Michael's house, they're extremely passive.

If you bump into the thugs, they'll all open fire on you.

Can anyone give me some pointers in flying helicopters? Been doing flight school and got my head around planes and am pretty good at them. But these god damn helicopters are the worse.

Can't even get bronze on the first one, I just can't keep my speed up with rising to high. Any help?

Also played for like another 7 hours last night just fucking around and not doing missions. At one point with Franklin I decide to go on a robbery spree and just start knocking over store after store. Got like 7-8 down and was feeling like a bad ass till the last one when it went real bad. I pulled a gun on the cashier and he pulled a shotgun so I put him down turned to leave when a random dude in the back pulls, and pops one right in the back of the head wasting me. It all happened so fast, like the way it does in real life. It's all fun till something goes wrong and then it goes real wrong real fast. Lol this game is great.
