Dont forget ray tracing features of the PS5, mesh shader/primitive shader support, and of course the massive improvement in CPU thats likely powering all this fancy NPC logic.The crazy thing here is that even compared to RDR2 on a PS4, it's still on a league of its own. RDR2 did not look close to this in any condition... And note, they pulled this off with what's essentially five PS4s ductaped together with architecture efficiencies and an SSD. Simply wizards.
The PS5 despite its 10 tflops is an incredibly powerful 30 fps machine. With architectural efficiencies, those 10 tflops work like 15 tflops compared to the base PS4. XSX is even more powerful.
It;s great to see Rockstar shut up the diminishing returns brigade. We clearly have ways to go. The developers simply have to target common sense resolutions and framerates.
