i bet i would like gravity rush if it was as freaky as that commercial and not "u...uwaa.....kat chan think food too spicey...."
Just watched Giantbomb's QL for this... they're kinda bummed out. :/
Don't worryKatRaven, I got you.
Will the DLC be free forever or just for a limited time?

Do I have to play 1 to understand 2?
How so?Wow this game sure looks like a hot mess in that Giant Bomb Quick Look, holy shit.
How so?
In pretty much every way that has to do with making an actual competent videogame excecution wise beyond just having a cool base concept.
But i seems to be getting good reviews so I dunno.

Nah, I ain't buying that.In pretty much every way that has to do with making an actual competent videogame excecution wise beyond just having a cool base concept.

I mean, it's Giantbomb, they hate almost everything nowadays.
What didn't you like about the demo?I owned the first game on Vita and liked it.
Played the demo for 2 and... eh? I'll probably pick it up when it's sub 30... I maybe buy two games a year at full retail though.
I'll take the bulk of reviews over GiantBomb. Or anyone for that matter.Let's not go down this road. They're just giving their honest impressions.
Also he said he was like five hours in.
I had also just came off the Nier Automata demo, which is fantastic, so maybe I unfairly compared it.

Controls seem less intuitive than on the Vita. Specifically with combat while gravity shifting. I didn't think the demo was very engaging, it mostly sent you on a fetch quest with zero real world consequences.

Wasn't it hugely inspired by French and Belgian animation? Like the Bellville Rendezvous, The Illusionist and Tintin.
There's even Western European music floating around the streets.

I literally just played both demos (Gravity Rush 2 and Nier Automata) last night and came away with the complete opposite reaction.
The gravity concept and Kat's personality and design and the look and feel of the world really sold me on Gravity Rush 2 (or at least Gravity Rush Remastered) ... Where as Nier's force locked camera inamy instances during the demo, tedious boss fight, and questionable enemy robot design left me absolutely "meh" on the experience.
Still undecided on whether to get the digital or physical edition, now that the DLC for the preorder has appeared on Amazon.co.uk (still nothing on Amazon.it but the UK store would work). The difference in price is negligible, and I think I would like to have it "always available" without needing to switch disks.
If only we had some sort of special or limited edition, it would make the choice so much easier.

I am going physical but those PSN avatars... I'll make do with the white costume.
Nah, I've been asking about that too but nothing. Is there a way to preview them?

I am playing Gravity Rush Remastered and I thought the controls were pretty crappy at first but then I realized you can fall back to gravity with L1 and it pretty much corrected everything I had a problem with.
I saw the bombcast this week and I was wondering if Jason knew that...He probably does. I haven't watched the quick look.
I think the game is quite fun despite the dumb theme of some of the quests. But I also have less than 5 hours on the first game.
Yeah, deactivating her power is useful if you know what you're doing.I am playing Gravity Rush Remastered and I thought the controls were pretty crappy at first but then I realized you can fall back to gravity with L1 and it pretty much corrected everything I had a problem with.

Balls!!! Pre-ordered it.I'll definitely be getting it but not at launch, I just have far too much stuff left over from the deluge of games in the usually Christmas rush and the crazy PSN sales this year. I do still have a few of the challenges in the first game to complete too.
EDIT:
Horizon: Zero Dawn will probably be the next game that I buy.

Much better.I played the Vita version when it was released and it was pretty clunky. Didn't really enjoy it. Maybe the console version was better?
I mean it's a demo though... One course for the newbies that never played it and want to go over the basics, and then the Experienced course for those who want to try out the new modes, tag-team with Raven, etc. Doesn't have to be some big thing... The primary purpose is to give you a feel of the game, not spoil it for you.
I mentioned this earlier, but as a "newbie" who never played GR1, the demo did not serve that intended purpose. I was pretty lost in terms of controls and combat, fighting with the camera and constantly overshooting targets and aiming badly. All it did was frustrate me. I don't blame this on the game per se, but the demo did not do a good job of introducing concepts. The tutorials felt like quick hand-waving to me.
