I had a chance to test this today at my friends place with fairly similar hardware (CSR wheel, CSR Elite pedals) and I really enjoyed it. I'd say the handling is the
opposite of the floaty and slidey that GRID 2 was. It's actually
much better than GRID 1 was in my opinion, at least with the cars I tried. The
physics are super "grippy" in fact and when you do break traction it's easy to recover from slides (or hold it through the corner with a muscle car
). Still, sliding around def. isn't the way to win races in this.
Had a ton of fun with the touring car races and I tried the tuner stuff just to see what the big deal about the drifting was and I gotta say I had fun with that too, just have a fairly low wheel rotation (like 270 or so) and it's really easy to pull off the drifts. Had no problems beating the AI even on Hard in hot lap, racing and drifting events. Didn't get around to trying Very Hard AI yet, but I'll def. give it a go when I get my physical copy on thursday/friday.
I honestly can't wait to play this online, hopefully with some people that aren't trying to win the race in the first corner.
