Uh, what's the point of posting the same URL over and over again? As Waypoetic said, that's not really a way to convince people to go look at it. If we weren't going to look at it when you posted it one time, we're certainly not going to look at it just cause you posted it several times in a row (at that point we'll make sure not to look out of spite <- and I just finished GTA single player and I got a very spiteful comment on my psych evaluation ;) ).

I guess the OT for the base game is closed, just wanted to say that this has to be the worst GTA game ever in terms of 100% completion rewards. A fucking t-shirt? And some UFO easter eggs? Superbly disappointing.

I was going to work my way to 100% but now I'm probably just shelving the game. And why the hell are you able to get 100% without doing, you know, 100% of the available activities? Really strange 100% stuff for this game.

Also, the cheats are horrible. Should've had most of the same cheats from SA, I can't believe they replaced the BMX super jump cheat with an on-foot super jump. Completely useless.

Not sure how many of you have seen some of my little videos, but I'd like to announce that we will be launching a mainline series of Grand Theft Auto videos on the YouTube I'm part of later this year. Rapier (BigBossMk23) is in a bunch of the vids and I still want to do a GAF special, but have been really busy with live-action productions and work for non-profits recently.

Also, I have to sort through 2 hours of footage set aside for the first episode, and then tackle the nearly 24 hours of online footage we have accrued via Elgato capture and Share button, which doesnt include the hours of campaign footage and very specialized adventures in GTA Online. Haha... ;_;

I'm actually hoping the Heists are gonna be like the ones in Achievement Hunter to an extent. Meaning they take good planning, are long and complex.

Basically like Destiny Raids of GTA. If it's just a glorified mission I'll be disappointed.

Nah, I have faith in Rockstar.

Even if they don't allow much planning in-game, you could always adopt the Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter method and plan it with your friends in real-life. I've been watching their 'heist' videos all afternoon. Man, the planning that goes into them.

Is it wrong just to go into a lobby and starting killing the other random players? That is what my friends and me did last night and it was a blast.

No, is that not the entire point of the game? I always jump into random lobbies and start little wars with the other players. It's great fun.

No, the point of the game is what you make out of it. GTA is an open world game with lots of options on what you can do. Not everyone is going on there to start fire fights with other people. And some of us find it really obnoxious if you insist on doing that and when we try to make it very explicit that we aren't interested in playing (like walking away and not fighting back) that you persist in following us. Go find some one who wants to play that way (and granted a few rare times I do and then I'll fight back). But don't just assume that cause some one is on the server means that is what they want to do.

There's all sorts of stuff you can do in GTA besides start firefights (besides, if you wanted to do that, why aren't you playing an FPS which in those games that is explicitly the point of those games).

Personally, I love it when people want to start fights with the cops and band together in a firefight with the cops. But you try that with randoms and they just shoot you.

Honestly, the biggest problem with GTA online is most players don't have much imagination so they only thing they can think of doing is shooting at each other. When the game could be so much more (it's a giant playground that most people insist on using just one way). Hell, there's creative ways people could do to do fire fights (of coures it involves everyone agreeing to certain rules and following them). Like doing manhunts where everyone turns off their minimap and also labelling of players and one person tries to avoid a bunch of other people (This allows him to do stuff like try to blend in with the NPCs since you won't see a name above his character). Or hostage sitatuions. So even with firefights it could be a lot more creative fun if people actually stopped to not just randomly shoot at people but organize events like that. hell... I saw a bunch of kids one time who decided to play a mock fight between red coats and blue coats (with certain rules of engagement between them). Simplistic but still more creative than just randomly shooting at some one.

Hell, I was complaining to some one that I was in a server where one guy wanted to see how many people we could fit in the bus (GTA was new then) and most people were having fun complying. One troll thought it was more fun to mess us up and keep blowing us up. THis guy responded he would have taken a cargo bob and lifted our bus onto the highest skyscraper. That at least would have been hilarious and creative rather than just the boring, "blow it up" response.

Don't get me wrong, I know there's more to GTA:O than going on a killing spree. I mainly use it for street races and setting up mini heists and missions. But you can't deny that after a stressful day, you can't beat annoying randoms and hear them rage.

Uh, yes I can. I dislike playing with people who I think aren't enjoying playing with me (I want them to have fun too). And I honestly dislike playing with people whose enjoyment is getting other people annoyed (that just makes me think lesser of them honestly).

That's not fun to me. I want everyone to be having fun I am playing with. Because, honestly, I have empathy and I feel bad if my playing isn't fun for them. ANd that's not fun for me. So why would I find it destressing to annoy other people if I don't enjoy doing that? There's a differene between having a PvP fight where I think the other person is also enjoying fighting back and shooting some one specifically cause I think they dislike me doing it. One is fine and can be fun (not always my cup of tea), the other is just being an obnoxious person.

I want to play with people whose idea of fun is the same as mine so we can mutually enjoy it. Whether that is co oping with them or having a fun vs. game with them.

Now, blowing up the NPCs and acting like a spiteful jerk to them? Yeah... that's totally fairplay and totally de stressing. But not when I think there's a real person attached to the other line. Cause, well, I don't like being truly mean to a real person (and PvPing when they want to do the same isn't being mean. But purposely trying to annoy them is). You know, the internet does actually consist of real people. Do you find it fun annoying your friends and other people IRL?

Disclaimer: I will admit if I think they did something to deserve it, that's different. Like some one who has come on just to piss people off cause they like making people's game unfun? I'd totally love trolling that person and pissing him off. That would be music to my ears. Or that KirmettheFrog dude being talked about in the thread on some stranger deleting a kid's account through shareplay? I'd think it was hilarious if a bunch of trolls ganged up on him in Destiny and made his in game life miserable.

I think starting a little back and forth can be fun, especially when someone getting mad means they have fun trying to get back at you. Just trying to outright grief players is not so great. When Tigress and I were playing with a few other people, my real-life buddy was in the game and blew her and someone elseup for no apparent reason, while they were trying to do something.

Needless to say, we turned on him and kept shooting or running him over for a couple of minutes because he said it was funny to him, even though they were trying to do something involving the actual game (i believe trying to get a train to hit Tigress who was in a car, being suspended by a cargobob). At a later date, he joined me and my main crew for Infinite Medium, and took the special Drop box multiple times, denying all of us a chance to get the manhunt mask. We all turned on him after that, by going to the military base and coming back with jets to rain terror on him.

Granted, on a public server it can be anything goes, which is why passive mode is a thing, but we were and generally use closed friend servers to avoid annoyances such as that and to try and do crazy stuff without worrying about some random player coming in and destroying our personal vehicles.

My crew (who have all stopped playing :( ) from GTAIV used to stock up on weapons, and our pilot would put is on rooftops where enemy players were congregated, and we would snipe them to get them mad.

GTAIV free mode was a lot of impromptu "hey wanna team up?" moments. So some of them did team up against us, and we would try to go to one of our hold out locations. We had a map of all the enterable buildings and good "fort" typoe areas on the map. Lot of fun.

I've also had fun kinda RPing as a hitman. I'd send everyone in the lobby a message saying message me on my in game phone to call in a hit and it worked.

I also was in a lobby once joining my friends and they were having a bit of a war with an opposing group of players. I pretended to want to kill my friends so I gained their trust and when they had their backs turned I murdered them all lmao.


Lots of great times on GTAIV. I need to find a consistent crew to play with on GTAV but no luck so far....

There is a couple of GAF crews and I'm part of one, but my main/active is based on the YouTube channel my friends and I launched. Infinite Medium. If you're on PS4, you can be our first recruit that I don't know in real life, if you wish. We play regularly enough, and often with mics (and often recording with capture hardware + share button). Sorry if you're stuck on XBO.

I just don't understand why--if you want to shoot at people--you don't enter a Death Match lobby. There's nothing to gain by killing and dying in free roam. Literally nothing. All you're doing is going broke.

In death matches you have varying locations and are rewarded with both XP and money.

People just like the convenience of free roam and don't want to have to do anything to have fun.

The lobby system is the games best and worst feature as so many of the games modes are wasted.

This is me too. And I'm curious about heists but they weren't whay I was waiting for like other people. I have a feeling I won't be disappointed cause I have no expectations as I have no ideas of what to expect but I get the feeling people are going to be disappointed.

Does anyone know if all planes are faster than all helps or what the exceptions are. Can't cite stats as the numbers aren't absolute, as far as I can tell.

These don't have the newer air vehicles in them. I think the swift is faster then some planes, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Yeah I agree with you and to be honest I have no idea what other people expect? I think part of the reason for the delays isn't because they are making the best DLC ever it's because of extensive testing, which is down to the fact that the community is overly aggressive when it comes to taking advantage of exploits. Plus if they are broken the shitstorn would be insane.

Not to mention payouts for heists thanks to shark cards I predict they will be low. I worry people are expecting to make a million from a single heist that's just not possible just as casinos are not possible.

Just to add I don't mind shark cards I've purchased several.
