Strange question, but is there any way to force save progress outside of your home? I thought I saw a tooltip about it early in the game but I've forgotten

Open up your phone and I think it's the bottom left icon. One of them is a save option.

i don't have the best PC but struggling to get 1080p 60fps. i5-4590, 8GB, 290 4GB. need to go down to normal settings and x2 aliasing at most. shadows/lights are glitching. mouse/keyboard input is lagging. loads of pop in.
seriously considering a refund if steam allow it.
Well yeah that and just social stuff and just being able to load into everything etc.Yes, very, if you mean multiplayer, I played a bit last night and had no issues.
Would you say the single player + playing with randoms online is worth the cost of entry for GTAV? No one in my group of friends plans on buying it and I'm debating if I want it now or wait for 50% off. I've played every GTA game since GTA3 and enjoyed them.
I'm also slightly worried about my hardware: GTX 680, i5 2500k, 8gb ram.
I don't think so, but it would really be nice.Is there a hotkey to turn the hud on and off or do you have to manually do it in the options if you want to remove it?

I would say the game is easily worth full price just for the single player campaign, which is one of the best I've ever played. I'm not a fan of the online portion at all, but I think it really depends on who you end up playing with; if you're playing with total randoms, it can really suck, but with a good crew, it looks like it could potentially be a huge amount of fun.
As for your hardware, I'm running a similar rig (GTX 680, i5 2500k @ 4.4 GHz, 16 GB RAM) and the game runs pretty smooth. 50ish FPS at 1080P with most options maxed. It says I'm over my VRAM cap but I haven't had a single hitch yet. It looks stunning and it's smooth; great port from a technical standpoint.

What's the point of GTA Online?
I jumped into a session and as far as I could tell it was just 28 of us running around doing fuck all.
I wasn't expecting to be able to pick this up for a while due to financial woes, but I woke up this morning to find that one of my friends gifted it to me. Can't wait to play later!
the benchmark test wont work properly for me. it loads the first mission, asks me if i want to quit, i hit no, then it "loads" the benchmark, but just continues to show a load screen
game itself starts fine. anyone else have this issue?
Christ, I don't remember Franklin's facial hair options looking this dreadful on PS3. They look like absolute shit here.
Are you playing fullscreen? For some reason i get laggy inputs if i use windowed/windowed borderless.feeling let down by this.

I don't know why but it's infuriating, especially if you have a 2-3 monitor setup and stream.
Also, to people who have experience with GTA Online, i never played the online portion of PS3/PS4 but how on earth do you buy a car? I finally found a good penthouse to buy after looking for like 30 minutes since for some stupid reason they don't put them on your overall map.
you'll get mission notifications from time to time
if my experience from PS3 is anything to go by, these missions will almost always be a race around the prison

Has anyone bought the retail version? Does it also come with a download code? I know that's a weird question, but having to install from 7 discs is gonna take a while. I really just want it for collector's sake, otherwise I'd download it.
I'd like to know this as well. After work I'll be picking up my reserved physical copy due to Best Buys GCUL.
Disable MSAA. It's a massive hog. Does anyone know if SweetFX works with DX11 now?
Lol... GTA Online is the game. You'll find out soon enough. (Almost) Endless challenges, jobs, and some kick-ass heists. It's the best online game I've played in forever. Strap in. You're never leaving. What's the point of GTA Online?

What, so I just drive around waiting for a phone notification to give me a superfluous job to do?
Are there no lobbies for TDM, races, or anything like that?
Your phone has a quick job tile. It will search for races, jobs, parachuting, everything. You can start your own jobs too, and invite friends or everyone in the city right now in your instance. You rank up, unlock more missions, heists. Earn money. Buy cars, jets, apartments. It never stops. What, so I just drive around waiting for a phone notification to give me a superfluous job to do?

They clearly put a lot of effort into this. I'd say definitely go for it, especially if you didn't play it on PS4/XB1. It's magnificent. On GMG, I can get it for $46.79. Is it worth every dime? I own it for the PS3 when it came out and only played like... 20 hours of it? Or do you think I should wait for a half off sale?

You can only get Steam version on Steam. With luck you can find a trader from Vietnam who can get you a Steam copy for around 50$usd and region free.Does the retail copy register on steam, or do I actually have to pay 60 for this?
