This is going to be a shit port isn't it? Looking at some of the PC mods over the years, the mods have truly transformed the game to next gen, I doubt this Rockstar port will barely reach those pc mods.

It would have been nice to know if it will be free for existing owners of the game. Had it on Xbox One for years and will revisit if they push this out for free.

Plus, a new standalone version of GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will debut at launch — available for free for the first three months to PlayStation 5 players — making it easier than ever before for new players to experience everything GTA Online has to offer.

What's Next

With the unprecedented longevity of GTAV, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered — and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.

Kinda disappointed that they didn't do a showcase video this time about the visual differences between last gen GTA V and the remaster like they did with PS3 to PS4.

If I recall, the differences between the PS3 version and PS4 versions were massive with lots of grass, way better textures, parallax occlusion mapping, trees that swayed in the wind, much better water shaders and reflections.

Wonder if we'll see any big differences this time other than just frame rate.

Controversial opinion incoming:

HDR, raytracing, high res textures, and 60fps is more than enough for me to be very excited about this remaster, and its more than what we received from the recent Uncharted remaster.

RDR2 is the game that should have a next gen version, not the jurassic GTAV game, but Dogturdstar being Dogturdstar as usual.

Guess why they haven't. The differences will be marginal.

I expect a quick Cashgrab like the Shitinitive Edition.

Yeah decent upgrade that was long over due. PS5 players getting it for free also which is sweet.

It will keep me happy for now, but I'm gonna need a gta 4 remaster next year or we riot. Good to get official confirmation on gta 6 but realistically it will probably be 2024 release at the earliest. At least it will be next gen only so a massive leap over V from the PS3 gen and hopefully by the time it launches the console shortage will have eased a little.

It will be interesting to see how this does after they botched the trilogy release. Of course, it will still sell huge, but It'd be nice to think they have a bit of a fire under their ass this time.

I can't believe GTA Online still doesn't have crossplay. I mean wtf is up with most games not supporting it?

As a matter of fact, these enhancements have not been announced for PC. No word about bringing ray tracing to the PC version.
