Hopefully Gunn sticks the landing on this one. One of the architects of the new DCEU righting the ship on the MCU would make me laugh.

What is it with these bad trailers? the plot should be the main focus. instead the High Evolutionary and Warlock are just passively inserted. How are MCU normies supposed to understand their significance and get hyped?

I have high hopes for it. However I was slightly turned off by the “we have always run from from everything” quote as the movies have really only head them running head on into things.

felt tropey.

The trailer did nothing for me. Just critiquing the actual footage, the song, the editing, I'd say it kinda failed. I know nothing of the story or even the slightest aspect of anything that's happening.

Basically interested just from the cast and the director.

There will be two more trailers that will completely spoil the plot for people like you, no need to worry!

Not everyone likes having half the movie spoiled for them before they ever sit inside the theater.

These kinds of trailers are for those people.

I'm not seeing what everyone else is here, but I'll stay optimistic. So far I've enjoyed James Gunn's DC works moreso than his Marvel stuff, and I think that's just because I feel like I'm experiencing his full artistic freedom when he is able to work within an R rating.

Because James does great sci-fi. Disney should give him his own Star Wars trilogy.
