I actually didn't check Karma merchants either, my characters are lvl 34 and 20 and never bought anything from them. Need to change that asap
No idea, but I tried with Firefox and was able to download. Gonna try this out, hopefully the game runs well with a controller. That's how I played FF14.
There is actually a torch in that area that you can pick up. It makes that section quite a bit easier. But it's not immediately obvious that it's even there, and its up on a ledge so you have to do some blind platforming to even get to it.

I don't understand how they are getting our emails? Or can they reset passwords just based our usernames?
ArenaNet devs were on reddit earlier trying to get to the bottom of this.
They're asking for anyone who has used a 100% unique email or email alias just for GW2 to contact them ASAP.
Oh god I wish I would have earned this stuff myself.
I'm not convinced it's hackers at all.
It's just that Arenanet's email registration system is fucked up at the moment. Possibly sending unintended emails.
Edit: Okay, if Arenanet themselves don't know what it is then it could be hacking.
It's just that I have received like 10 emails from them to validate my email with non-functioning links inside. It's a bit of a clusterfuck right now.

Question to the guildies: Is Naija still in the guild? I tried the Chatbox but no one seemed to be there, so yeah. Can't join the chat, nothing in the guild menu. Would be really thankful for an answer, today was kinda boring without GAFs background noise.

Dude, I'm using this and love it. I generally prefer a controller to M+KB for comfort, so this is just a great configuration.

I like everything in this game except for the class and ability system, it's a shame, but it's really off-putting to me. Game is still good fun, though.
I FAR prefer controllers, but try as I might I just can't get into the pre-sets. People did a very good job setting them up but it's just a bit too much for my tastes when I can just reach for the mouse in some cases.

It's still super wonky for me too. Oddly enough (and this might just be superstition), I feel like it works better if I take to a trading post person instead of clicking O. Not sure if that really is how it works.

Just for kicks, I downloaded and installed GW2 on my work pc. My work pc is an i5-2300 @ 2.80 ghz with no cpu.
I was able to run around Black Citadel with the lowest settings +subsampling at 20-24fps. lol.
I ran around spamming my skills, but it didn't seem to affect my framerate.

My level 23 Norn. I keep having people ask about my armor. I got most of it from karma vendors. I guess a lot of people don't check to see what they have to sell.
That's what I'm wearing right now, too.
They seem pretty weak at early levels. I'm having a hard time with some of the norn personal story even if I'm a level over some of the quests.

Sure. There's no real need to have an organized group of people to play with, though. Most of the actual group content is spontaneous - you'll be running around and all of a sudden come across a merchant cart escort event or a town being sacked, where other players will likely be there helping, too.
Fun is subjective, but yes it's fully playable solo.
I consider the PvE to be the same shit as any other MMO with a few differences. PvP is what Guild Wars is traditionally all about and where the game shines the most.
That's cool. I hadn't seen anyone else that looked like me yet.
I queued for the WvW tour at around 7:15 and still waiting.

Definitely. I've been rolling solo most of the time save for a few instances with some randoms. People tend to naturally help each other with events and quests anyways.
Yep. It's amazing how well you can flow from being alone in the wilds to smashing giant things with a ton of people!

So, I feel like while the launch from the game play, stability perspective was stable, too many issues with the peripheral systems.
