Perhaps.
Things like "you can't craft for your level" or "dodging isn't required" are objectively false. The expectation of a dedicated healer; the holy trinity's "death," etc.
The leveling being tuned incorrectly is a little more debatable. Or rather far more personal. The actual content of hearts not being a great departure from typical questing is true.

Have they made any comment when they are going to rematch servers for wvwvw? It's gotten worse for us and people just arent even bothering to queue up for wvwvw since we've been completely dominated for days.
Are you not on Stormbluff? I thought our server was killing it thanks to some Korean guild joining us.

Yeah. But I mean when you are ' in the thick of things'.
Besides the F to revive, it's a but hard to differentiate people from dead mobs.
And it's hard to really tell where enemy mobs are at a quick glance. I guess it really depends on the color of mobs.
And I guess tab targeting always works.

Looks like the Chinese are out in force judging by the number of attempted account jackings going on. The only sensible solution to this is to region ban IP's. If this was your bank account and not a game account the repercussions of these actions would be far more severe but at the end of the day are both still THEFT.

Interesting. I'd probably just get "Obstructed" anyway. Seems every time I tried shooting with my rifle on my warrior I'd be getting obliterated but couldn't target anybody.
I'm sure it's just a learning curve. I've only played the game for about a week now.
Cool, thanks for the impressions. I might be going back to my Warrior, I just really enjoy the guardian playstyle so it's a tough choice!
I run with Greatsword and Scepter + Torch.
Yeah, the Scepter doesnt do a lot of damage but you really must have ranged a lot of the time. If Guardians had a different ranged option other than Staff I would go with that but they dont and Staff sucks.
I forgot to rebind tab, now I get to choose something handy to put there, nice.
Can anyone explain how the 'About face' keybind works? I can't figure it out.

No i'm on Gates of Madness with my guildies. We were putting up a fight for some days so it wasn't like how TA and some other servers completely were taken over, but now the server has has completely lost and no one is even really trying to fight back anymore.

Imo, scepter shield and greatsword are best. Shield gives you bubble and you can cast protection on teammates, and fire on torch is too close range to be as useful in group events.
Even in lower levels like I am, if you are fighting a champion mob and just standing around like a yutz when you get hate, then you are in a world of hurt. I tend to stay behind my enemies as a guardian if it's a big champ boss mob so I can avoid death, and hopefully rez people who were dumb enough to stay still in front.
One of the problems is that when there is one dominant server, it's easier for the two weaker servers to attack each other than to attack the dominant server, which just helps it keep control even more. When one server gains more than 50% of the holdings, the two weaker servers should automatically become allied and prevented from attacking each other. That would balance things better.
Once your account is in, all characters are in. So if you get an invite in game, it links your account not just your character at the time.
Exact opposite on Stormbluff, we've owned the whole server a few times. They fought back a bit yesterday.
So do you fight with scep shield, and only swap to the gsword on the fly if the are trying to get away so you can do the chain back in ability? I find Gsword shitty in PvP. Was really enjoying the sword/torch combo for PvP, but I may try scepter/shield then.

Pretty much. When fighting champs, I tend to stick to scepter and longe range it, but I do once in a while like to switch over to greatsword, pop all my virtues, and lay down some hurt.
Mats, yes, but you have to bank components, which you can only do from stations and banks themselves.
I use scepter/shield in group events, because I spend a lot of time laying down AoE and adding vulnerability/immobolize to mobs.
When I level by myself, I use greatsword for the most part, for damage dealing.

lol umm....what do I do? I played the game, suddently started having connection issues, logged in, got logged back out after awhile and now the last time I got a black screen and had to ctrl+ alt + del to reset the game....now it says The email adress you entered was not found

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but since you already had hack attempts, I would do the following:
1. Create a unique gmail alias that isn't being used for anything else
2. Enable two-step authentication on the gmail account
3. Change the account e-mail to the new gmail address and update the password
4. Make sure the password is random, unique, at LEAST 8 characters long, and contains upper and lowercase characters, numbers, and special characters
The client allows you to save your e-mail and password for logging in, so there is no reason to not have an extremely complex password. Make sure you keep it somewhere safe, enter it once, and be done with it.
It sounds extreme but I would be concerned since you are already getting those e-mails. My account is basically already setup like this.

Question for my ranger. What setup should I use if I want to use my pet as a tank? I'm a ranger and my wife is an elementalist, so I was thinking the pet could tank while we hit from a safe distance. What traits should I go for? Strait down the beastmaster path or wilderness survival? Which one would make my pet into a badass?

These account compromises are awful. I just cannot fathom what goes into the mindset of someone who desires to break into others' accounts in an online game.
I got hacked on Wednesday. Sent a ticket and got a reply a day later to recover my account. Just give them the info needed and they should give you your account back!
There security, is really bad. They said there working on it, but it will be quite hard to get all the accounts back that have been hacked.

I'd reset all your current passwords and double check your system for any spyware.
Someone might have requested it, but unless its actually been changed, hopefully you dont have anything to worry about.

I would make a new email account specifically for GW2, less chance of being hacked. Well, that's what NCSoft said to me anyway.

It has been changed, if you read my previous post. I couldn't login to the account anymore so I checked my email and found this...
How the heck is this even possible considering all I've done on the computer is basically play the game, haven't visited any fishy sites or anything!?
I feel silly, but I had a completley defunct email tied to my ANet account that worked just fine to log in, but I wanted to be able to receive emails directly from them so I changed it to my main addres. Still, haven't had a password request or anything odd.

Yesterday I was in the queue to join Stormbluff WvW for almost 4 hours. Get in, and I swear, there was almost no one from our server on there. How was it full for that long?! People weren't even Yak'ing because all of the supply stations were under enemy control.
Yup, just changed my account password to a unique 12-digit string. I don't want weird chinese hackers fondling my characters.
Well it works with autotun. I think the problem might be holding the right mouse button or a modifier while trying to use about face. Not sure.

It really is scary. I will probably go with something like 1password to help out. I should invent 1email, that I would have a main account that only I would know, and multiple random email addresses under the account, one for each website/service.
It is kind of ridiculous to have to use a new email for guild wars 2 (and possibly many other things), along with 2 step verification, and any other security features one might be able to use.
Do I really need to use 5748iio819@%*)@gmail.com as my account email, with a random string of numbers/letters/symbols as a password for guild wars 2?

In addition to what I said above, also this. Download Malware Bytes Anti-Malware and scan your system. It's not a bad idea to do this regularly if you play MMOs or do a lot of online shopping.
I don't know if that helps, my password was kinda random and unique for GW but I got hacked anyway
They shut down digital sales because of this. I think they're working on adding servers but you would want to check GuildWars2.com for confirmation.
