Here's a picture of me doing events in orr.
Yep, just that... flashing constantly.. who knows what's happening!? About had a seizure.
What does the different color on the player's level indicate? I see those running around Lion's Arch and elsewhere all the time.
I said that because players are making comments about how stealth is so "broken" or "OP" or something else. What the hell do you want ANet to do?
I somehow feel like you can't deal enough damage from a back stab to get them from 100% health to 0.
The camera is becoming more and more intolerable. Fix this shit Anet.
Is GW2 down? Can't log in.
Login issues should now be resolved, enjoy your time in game
For those of you that may still be experiencing login issues, please close your launcher and wait a few minutes before trying again! ^AT
TBH I wish you could turn off the screen shake (or can you?). These mass events fry my brain.
I want that star too =(
I'm at 70% world explored, maybe I should step it up.
So I just hit level 80. Gear is awful of course, wearing stuff from levels 60 to 80.
So, what sets should I aim for. Is there any guide that specifies what sets are available and how they can be obtained?
Crafted level 80 exotics or karma gear from Ruins of Orr merchants I think.
I heard that Karma gear requires a massive farm? I have around 45k karma, haven't spend a single point, but I don't know if I want to be grinding Orr that much. Are there cheaper alternatives or am I just wrong?
What about PvP sets?
Can't say I've ever seen this opinion bandied about.
42k karma a piece.
I don't do PvP so Idunno.
I don't know if it's because I'm so adverse to exploring that I haven't noticed, but I feel that if each place I've been to were given more personality beyond, "Village/outpost in the middle of nowhere that occasionally gets attacked by local wildlife," or, "Giant sprawling city where most of its parts are pretty much the same," I'd like exploring more. Right now, "you've seen one, you've seen them all," fits a lot of the exploring I've done so far.
Edit: There are some interesting places, so I guess I'm exaggerating, but they're rarer than I'd like.
So I hit 80 on my Necro yesterday. After wandering around Orr a bit, I decided to get started on my Guardian. Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that there are CLEARLY classes that are meant to have a group when exploring/gathering/grinding - I think Necro is one of them. I've got pretty decent gear, a nice trait setup, and a skill setup that has worked pretty well for a while. But a good amount of my leveling was done with a friend or two...Now, I can't really even traverse the landscape without fearing for my life - I just can't put out enough damage or control the mobs enough.
Has anyone else felt this way about their Necro/squishy class? And if I'm just crazy, any tips?
You are supposed to go to orr with people, or at least follow some people around.

Yeah, but I guess I'm also alluding to the fact that any of the 70+ areas are unmanageable. Necros, for whatever reason, are aggro magnets. Even in dungeons, I get targeted immediately. I was out leveling in Orr as a level 76 Necro with my level 80 Thief friend - I was ALWAYS getting targeted, and I know he was doing more damage than me. I guess Necro was fun to level but has been underwhelming since cap.
Loving it at the moment - Level 30 Warrior : Psudeo : Sea of Sorrows.
Love Dual-Axes and Greatsword equally... also Axe+Shield... so many combos.. so little time.
Still quite shocked at how hard this is to get. It's out of stock on the official site, amazon and all my local stores. I think it's just destiny i don't buy this.
Also. The cheapest user on amazon is selling the Standard Edition for £79.99?......

Finally tried Explorable AC last night. At first, we tried the route with the Graveling Burrows event, and quickly got frustrated at the fact that it's really tough to hit those burrows as a melee. Miss miss miss!
We also didn't have a clue of what to do in the room - should we go for the nests asap or kill the breeders which quickly overwhelm us - so we ended up resetting it and taking the easiest route.
First boss (the ranger) was a tough one, but I really liked the challenge in it. Everything else after that was pretty much just loot pickups. I don't really mind having one easy route, but I hope they fix the issues in the other route(s).
Are the easy routes in other dungeons just as easy? And do you get more tears/whatever by doing the more difficult routes?
just wanted to say, glorious avatar sir
That room is where my team had to give up, too. Interesting that if we all go ranged we might have better luck.yeah, im hearing ghost eater is a lot easier.
I had went in last night with a bunch of gaffers and did this exact path. We eventually finished it, but not until after an insane number of attempts were put in on that damn burrow room. Aside from the burrow room (which needs to be retuned slightly, imo, or fixed so melee is not seeing a bunch of miss strings), the rest of it was actually not bad.
Quick Engineer question: I rolled an engineer last night and got up to level 8 the class is a lot of fun.
When I made the char I picked one of the goggle sets for him to start with, however the question did pop into my mind, can I ever get a bomb backpack for him or is that only give to you when you start?
You only get that at the start and it doesn't appear anywhere else in game. Likewise with the goggles and monocle, so make sure you keep them. Thus, you can only ever have one of those three.
Can someone explain something to me? Yesterday I did the Citadel of Flame, story mode, for the first time. It was me and four random people. We ended up finishing the dungeon after about 90 minutes, and we got our asses handed to us the whole time, except for the dungeon boss, who was a cakewalk. Are these dungeons meant for only 5 people to complete? It just seemed like we were way overmatched. I wasn't sure if it was just our playing skill, or if you really are supposed to get killed that much on the way through the dungeon.

Thats a bummer but good to know. Is there a wiki page that details the bonus for each item [goggles, backpack]?
While this may seem like a bad thing at first, the alternative is dungeons that are short, linear hallways with loot pinatas that you snooze your way through.
Big Picture mode for Steam, a controller script update to test and my desire to hit 60 tonight means I'm hooking my PC up to the projector as soon as I get home from work today and going nuts on a 103'' screen. Now to make this day go by rapidly...

Ghost Eater was definitely easier. I'm curious about the third (first?) path.
