Nah bro not really had time for any serious play. With the flakey authentication going on last night as well I didn't play.
Have played some characters up to level 8-10 to see what I like. Still to settle on one haha. Disregarded the Engineer today, just won't click with me. I want to enjoy the class but it's too much effort.
As much as I hate pets I enjoy the rangers shortbow/greatsword combo. The pets though... they're just soo fucking useless and broke.
Going to try Guardian for a few hours tonight.

But the guardian seems really cool, if it wasn't because of the crazy good looking Norn warriors ( When they actually get some decent looking gear, fucking milk cartons looking gear and flacid weapons are annoying ) I would have rolled a human guardian.

You lose to Jade Quarry because us Jade Quarrians are way too awesome (and haven't lost once yet ;D).
I always figured everyone massively interested in GW PvP would either be on Jade Quarry or Fort Aspenwood.

Setting aside dolyaks, the expected time to level for each level is pretty short and then you get a free 10 levels if you do cooking 1-400.

meh, Fields of Ruin isnt a very good zone. I thought it would be cool because of Ebonhawke but it quickly became a generic ogre zone with generic "kill ogres and their pets" quests
Lornar's Pass is an awesome zone, however, it is HUGE and you really feel like you're travelling just because its so narrow and vertical, which I prefer to the rectangle zones

I really wish changing graphics options in GW2 affected the frame rate at all. Putting it at best performance gets me the same fps as best quality.

I honestly thought this was a joke, because at first glance they appear totally identical. Then I figure, maybe it's because Im looking at it from 9 feet away on a 42 inch tv, so I pull it up on my phone, and then I see the difference, but it's so minimal as to be a complete joke anyway. Destroys the text indeed, I can barely read it with the FXAA on! Its like an N64 underwater! Oh gosh!

Kind of irks me that I can't vendor my karma bought items when I replace them, nor can I salvage them. Only option left is to destroy... my inventory space is precious.

Gonna say Lornar's pass is my favorite area in the game. The scenery porn, large swaths of explorable land, and nostalgia factor totally get me .Grenth's Shrine was my favorite spot in GW1, enjoyed finding it in GW2.
Is your phone by any chance an iPhone 4? It's less of an issue as you increase the PPI or increase the viewing distance. On a standard 1080p computer monitor, at standard distance (1-2 feet), the diference is really massive, at least to me.
But I don't really understand why your response is so defensive, anyway. I didn't insult your children or anything. It's fine if it doesn't bother you.

I 100%ed Gandarran fields, starting at level 25, and while it's marked as a 25-35 zone I finished as level 30. That means 100% of all the content in that zone will only take you 5 levels up, probably less.
What am I doing wrong? I'm not looking forward to repeating the same stuff over and over again just to get to a new zone.

Why don't you go to another race's zone?
Of course. EXP is so easy to come by in this game it's not ever an issue.

I took two screenshots, one with the in-game FXAA and one without, and the text is 100% identical. I would never use it if it looked like that.

Since the Asura and Sylvari have their zones progress pretty much parallel to each other, I've been 100%-ing each one. Metrica, Caledon, Brisban, now Kessex. It's provided me enough xp to reach the 30+ zones and Lion's Arch. Crafting and personal story have helped too.

thats about right, there's not that much content there. I had to go to Lornars Pass for a few more levels. Once you get past 30 though, you can go to Fields of Ruin and then at 35+ you can go to Harathi and finish up Lornars Pass

I dunno, I leveled from about 27-37. Are you harvesting? that adds up. If youve already done a DE and see onen pop, just go over there for a sec and wack a bad guy and leave. Bronze is still good rewards for doing very little.
Personal story as well? Those level you up super easy

I'm so confused with which stats to pump considering my weapon loadout.
I play Guardian, and I use Greatsword + Sword/Torch (sometimes Shield). Right now I am only doing PVE so I've been using +Vitality and +Power gear. Meanwhile I am leveling Honor which gives a nice bonus to Vitality.
I'm level 17 with 2245 HP, not sure how good that is.
I like the mob control that Greatsword has. And Sword/Torch allows for a bit of support while also dishing out some good 1v1 damage.
Am I putting my trait points into the right thing, or is there a better option? What about my stats? Should I continue to focus on Vitality/Power, or does Vitality mean nothing if I lack high toughness?

I don't think there are any widespread issues with AMD cards and GW2.
I gather everything I see, and my personal story quests only ended up giving me around one level.
I find it hard to believe you got 10 levels without a sweat where I got only 5 and that's with plenty of XP from doing WvWvW as well.
Youll have a respec at 40, so its not the end of the world if you dont like the traits

Vitality or toughness is always good. Vitality means youll be able to last out conditions longer. Vitality doesnt do shit against conditions, but youll be able to take hits better. Vitality seems better since it will keep you alive longer on conditions and direct hits, but i dunno the math involved in that
I dunno, I entered the area at level 27 and entered the next area at level 37. Cant remember if i did a bit of crafting, but if i did, it probably only got me like a half to a full level. No WvW either
You take the non-mob killing part of the heart quests? I basically kill everythign I see since I need the crafting mats, and the experience is usuall good (well, i avoid the non-agro ones, but If i see a creature who drops blood or scales, that bastard is dead)
Well, guess i was 36, since i know ive leveled twice in the next zone already

Vitality/power is a solid balanced pick, no worries. For guardians especially, healing power and buff duration can be important since you can pump out a lot of both. Condition duration is another stat to consider.
Vitality improves your HP, which means a better ability to withstand large amounts of damage in a short time span. Toughness is better over a longer-term fight by reducing incoming damage. Investing in either is fine, you don't necessarily need both to be effective, but having one is a good idea.
Further, your trait points ultimately give relatively little in actual stats compared to your stat gear in the long run. Your main concern there is what traits you want to have.
