Ac123, cm123, and coe123 are some of the best pugs in the game. Actually fairly enjoyable if I can't hit the dungeons with gaf for whatever reason.

Edit. Coe1 computer can still be an adventure though.

I got no time to wait around for GaF to run dungeons, I pug all the time, once i kill Teq and Shaman my dungeon loot running begins, I run AC:1/2/3, SE:1/3, CoF:1/2, if those are done by 10pm, i run CM1/2/3 but only if i am in a dungeon mood, lately it's just AC 123 sign off, game is so damn boring...

17 long hours of The Silverwastes later...

It dropped as a steel chest from a random mordrem wolf between Red and Indigo forts. I was doing the pack bull escort at the time.

In the video, one of their wells kept "rubberbanding" the enemies when they tried to leave the field every tick of the well. Looks VERY annoying haha.

That's probably the elite, Gravity Well. Guess it really was just its nameplate.

I think reverse reveal order is probably the deal here.

Anyway, if the cadence holds true, it will be Mesmer(Chronomancer), Engineer(Mechanic?), Thief(Sniper?), Guardian(Cavalier?)

I'm hoping it's Guardian or Engineer with traps, but after seeing Chronomancer I can't help but wonder if we'll get some kind of Mechamancer for Engineer.

Very curious to see the other specializations. Chronomancer sounds nuts and definitely more like a solid "role".

I know Anet wants to avoid the whole "role" thing for obvious reasons, but the game sorely needs something to that effect.

Meaning, it will freeze everything about that character. All skill cooldowns will be frozen, boons, conditions, animations. In addition the skill effect 'rewinds' back toward the caster so if you time it right characters could get frozen in time TWICE! God damn that is insane. It reminds me of that DOTA character that put a time bubble or whatever around an area. Anyone know what I'm talking about? (I'm not a DOTA player ;p).

Faceless Void.

No point in stomping Chronomancer anymore because they will just go back to before they died because F5 skill.

WvW will have 100 man Chronomancer blobs all using the F5 skill before engaging the other blob.

Can a mesmer shatter while downed? I don't have time to test right now.

Actually that is true, I am not sure if they can use thier F5 skill while down.

I don't think they need to shatter, because the "rewind" mechanic will activate as soon as the time you build up runs out so it could happen while you are down or maybe even dead, waiting to respawn. We have to see.

Also hope there is a way to identify when a Chronomance goes into Continum Shift/Split so that you can just ignore them because it would be a waste to use any skills (that isn't auto-attack) on them since they will just get everything back once that skill ends.

You're right, and the description does say "avoid a killing blow." But in principle you still need to stomp a mesmer because it's unlikely you'll be able to tell if an enemy had previously Continuum Shifted while they are downed. Though I do believe there will be a visual indicator while they're alive a la Spectral Walk.

Overall though its effectiveness relative to a mechanic like Vengeance comes down to how long the duration is- let's guess 2 seconds per illusion shattered. So you pop 3 illusions, gain 6 seconds of timeforce, and if you're downed or even defeated in those 6 seconds you rewind to your initial spot. And 2 seconds is generous given past traits. Maybe this info will be revealed today.

If it does work while downed then teleporting / invis downed 2 skill will buy a mesmer enough time to avoid a stomp that happens before Shift kicks. So much trolling.

I'm surprising myself how much I'm anticipating the stream in a few hours. I guess the game has kinda been in a lull for several weeks so anything new is extra exciting.

The POIs have been very short and just have gone over the blog posts, if it was a Ready Up, I think I would be more excited about it.

Grandmaster Chronomancer Trait

Chronophantasma

shattered phantasms are immediately resummoned

There's a similar trait for clones, didn't catch the name.

  • Elite – Gravity Well – It pulls all the enemies to the center of the well. It also grant stability to allies standing in it. The last pulse also a float effect which we may remove it since this well applies too many CCs.

Hope they keep the float effect. This game needs more Mass Effect.

As in, they're shattered on F5 and are then resummoned when your timeforce expires or you Continuum Split? That would be cool; there didn't seem to be a great phantasm build in the new traits.

Summon phantasms -> F1-F5 to shatter -> phantasms still up (these ones won't resummon when they get shattered)

So the first wave of phantasms shatter- via any of the five shatters- and then another wave of phantasms appear? So every time I shatter an initial phantasm I get a bonus phantasm back? I guess that's even better.

Oh so it can drop from champ bags too?

I'm fairly sure it was a drop off the tendril. I just happened to see mail shortly after the event that said I got an invite, and I checked my bags and the trophy was just sitting there. I see no reason they wouldn't be in the champ bags, but mine was likely just a monster drop.

I believe that's right. They said they need to tweak the timings a bit because they wouldn't want stuff like 3 illusionary duelists coming back and firing at the same time.

Well that's a bit unfortunate. I love it when the unload attacks from multiple iDuelists synchronize the moment a foe is unstealthed.

- The Slow icon is a turtle, awesome.
- Shield phantasm slows; that was an easy call.
- Deja Vu (shield 4 sequence skill) reads as if something is missing from the description- maybe that's the joke. Sound like it's mostly generating fodder for Continuum Split.
- Continuum Split drops a Continuum Rift that marks the point of recall; the rift can be destroyed by opposing players, which forces activation of Continuum Shift on the chronomancer (there's your WvW fears allayed Kos)
- I think we're going to be mixing up "Continuum Split" and "Continuum Shift" for a while until the community comes up with slang

I think reverse reveal order is probably the deal here.

Also, the article on TenTon refers to them only doing three reveals over the coming weeks (I guess as far as May goes)?

haha, looking at the wiki, this is pretty funny.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Professions_reveal

  • At least two professions are variations on Guild Wars professions, but not quite the same.[5]
  • There will not be a dedicated healer.[6]
  • Chronomancers are certain not to be included.[7]

That last one

Anyway, if the cadence holds true, it will be Mesmer(Chronomancer), Engineer(Mechanic?), Thief(Sniper?), Guardian(Cavalier?)

But that would mean... that... warrior is last...

*drumroll*

:'( Please

What am I supposed to see?

In any case, the supposed layers of the new zones make map-based size guessimates kinda tricky.

What am I supposed to see?

The small chunk of a new zone in the lower left, The Falls. You can see Verdant Brink to the north, so this is either the south end of a vertical-oriented zone or the top half of a horizontal one (with room for another horizontal-aligned one between them, roughly).

I am excited to go to The Falls. Was always one of my favorite GW1 zones since there wasn't any outpost immediately nearby. Imagine a zone without any waypoints handy.

Sorry for the dumb question:

Is there a gaf guild?

Recently started playing... about level 44, but mostly roaming the lands solo and such. Basically just PvE.
