I'll be back on again in about 5-6 hours tonight for getting bodied. I have yet to win an online match. Hot damn I'm mega free!

I have yet to land on a character either so that's part of the problem.

Has anyone found a way to invite friends or join friends with simplicity? Or do we really have to manually find which lobby someone is sitting in, go there, then join the lobby one of those people creates, and then go through all the monkey crap until you are in a match together?

This is by far the most obtuse matching up for private matches I've ever seen. :/

Guess I'm not sure what your asking. Sounds like you already knew the answer to your question if you did the challenege?

I guess what I meant was if there was another way to confirm off an IOH j.D or is 214S the only way, as it seems pretty impractical to pull off in an actual match since the spacing is so tight and it will whiff if you try and do it off a jump cancelable normal

Success! Uploaded the system data from my HK PS3 version of Xrd and it worked with my US PS4 version of Xrd. All the songs I unlocked, trials I finished, etc. are all exactly as they were.

that's pretty neat! anyword on this regarding the JP version?

Just played a few stages as Chipp and man, does it feel good to finally be playing Guity Gear again.

Agreed. I've played I-No and Millia so far. <3

But holy fuck Ramlethal. I beat her after five or six tries, but I think at that point the CPU just felt bad for me. Her overdrive attacks are ridiculous. Her reach is ridiculous. The only saving grace is that her overdrives are fairly easy to dodge, and that leaves her way open.

Game is absolutely incredible looking, great tutorial too!

Pretty happy with my HRAP4 so far, cord panel in the back is a bit flimsy but stick and buttons feel great.
Do you mean that you can easily pull the back cord panel off? My HRAP V3 SA is like this, and it's actually rather convenient because the panel no longer gets in the way.

Just a reminder to those who want/will be getting this but like myself have to wait a bit, go ahead and download Elphelt before she is not free anymore so you can not bitch later :p

I admire your goodwill reminder but you know there will always be at least one dumbass crashing into this thread months later demanding free Elphelt. :p

I'm over here wondering why I'm not playing this whenever I get the chance and then I remember again after I try to play online. Online is shit and psn/wifi/ps3 cross play/whatever the hell else that's in the mix makes this a fucking bad purchase.

So sick of these japanese developers having shit user interfaces, confusing icons, and just overall lack of polish on their online product.

Back to League of Legends I go.

Does anyone know if you keep Free PS+ DLC's forever if your sub runs out?
Games will become invalid if you got them off PS+ Free but I kind of want to use my PS+ trial for the GG Skins.

Now that the game is released, how is the netcode overall? I heard complaints about it during when people got the game early at Gamestop and have been worried about it.

Looking forward to playing this on stick, yikes.

Completely new to Guilty Gear and I've been messing around in the tutorial. Love the potential with this combat system so I came to ask you vets some general tips on how to approach the game (Especially as someone who plays a lot of Street Fighter - I know the play nothing a like).

I literally just finished downloading the game.

HO. LEE. SHIT.

The lag, or rather, the delay with inputs making the game feel heavy-- I just... I just am not sure what to say.

I want to say that there's more ambigious mixups in GG, along with movement options, so you really have to pay attention to whats on screen.

Then again, I actually haven't played GG in nearly 10 years.

Jeez, is there any faster way to make money? The tutorial only gives 20k and the Arcade mode only gives 7k a go, and MOM gave me some in the hundreds. Sins going to take ages, Story mode included, especially since I want those other unlocks.

The online was great for me until the PS4 patch on saturday.

I wouldve like to have seen this game prepatch. because it is so bad right now, I legit had to shut off my ps4 to think about it.

Then again, I come from SF online so if you saw a good connection whilst searching you were going to have a good fight. In this game, not so much holy shit.

Only played a little because I'm not feeling up to it at the moment. Only played through Ky's arcade to get a feel for things. At times it's hard to remember that these are actual 3D models and not just really nice high res sprites. Blows my mind.

Also, that boss is buuuuuulllshit. Like, more than most. Fucking super giant laser beams and full screenand back around a bit katana thingie. Brutal. Not too hard to dodge (at least the laser) but maaaan. I got rekt by it too much.

Will play some more tomorrow.

Do your buttons sometimes squeak?

Definitely on the squeaky side but they feel great otherwise. I'm not sure if it's the way the game registers inputs or if it's this stick but I just don't have ANY issues performing any of the special move motions. They always come out, pretty awesome!

The only thing I find challenging in terms of input right now are instant air dashes from one side. I think I finally have it down and then nope, doesn't want to come out hah!

Yeah, that's what I meant by flimsy, the cord panel just came off when I first opened it which really threw me off. It's easy to snap back in so no worries.

The giant laser is great, because you can just jump over her and then combo her right in the ass.

I'm pretty bad and not a vet, but my experience going into it as a GG newcomer as well is that you can kinda bring over some of your SF footsies into GG. It's faster because the game is faster, but things like dashing slightly into their range and backdashing to bait normals (and potentially whiff punishing), throwing out normals when you think they'll press a button to get a counter hit, and standing in ranges where you can react to movement or normals are all things that carry over. It's just getting used to the faster movement and footsies in the air which lead to more scenarios to get used to (such as if you're on the ground and they're in the air with their second jump, if they don't have their second jump, if you're both in the air, etc.).

A friend of mine put it in a good way; you just have to think about all of your opponent's options. That said, getting used to each character's options in this game and finding counters is going to take me some time because all of the characters are so different lol.

I don't know if I'm misleading you since I'm new myself and not very good, but yeah lol. Hopefully someone points out if I'm on the wrong track. :p

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I was playing earlier and I ordered one of those titan one adapters. It seems to work really well. I didn't notice any dropped inputs or lag. I'm not using anything to measure it mind you but i'm pretty sensitive to input delay. I tested it with a Saturn USB controller and a Madcatz TE and it seems to work pretty well.

Anyway I thought i'd let others know because of the shortage of PS4 sticks and whatnot.

Did the same thing. Using it with my 360 TE. Really can't tell I'm playing on a different console with it.

Want to start a lobby?

PSN: JoeFenix, send me a friend request and we can get something going! Keep in mind I am brand new to this, currently going through mission mode.

I'm probably on the same level. Have very little execution.

I love this game to death. It reminds me why the Guilty Gear formula is so good, and why it's stood the test of over a decade of updates to the X series.

However, playing online thus far, on both consoles, with a variety of connections/opponents, has made me never want to play again outside of occasional offline play. Pretty much, same situation that GG has been in for the past decade.

That is unfortunate. Would have loved to have seen Online Warrior videos of the game.

So far I had some decent. I played with a buddy earlier and it played well. He lives in Seattle and i'm in Massachusetts and the game said we only had a 4 frame delay. I don't know how accurate it is but it felt pretty good

Dang. :( Can't play Xrd today. The store where I was gonna buy it didn't get any copies, so I had to special order it and now I gotta wait for them to get it. Oh well, I've waited this long, I can wait another week.

How is Xrd as a local versus game? Does the game by chance keep any detailed information on both players' wins/losses or any other stats? I always really like it when fighting games keep track of local versus info like that.

Has there been any mention of how much Leo's going to cost to buy? It sure would be nice if he was going to be free for at least a little while, but it's fine, I've got no problem with giving Arc System Works more money for such an amazing game.

God, this eases my worries a bit. I'm hoping people complaining about online are talking about the ranked populous playing on Wi-Fi garbage and not some real cable/fios stuffs. At the very least I can hope to play people here my level that doesn't throw me underwater.

I see what you did there :p

I'm on wireless and many of my matches have been between 2-6 frames. I've had the occasional 9-10frame unplayable match, but for the most part is I'm facing someone 2 bars or high it's between 2-6. Maybe it's because I'm set to only play PS3 players? I'm not too sure, especially considering my connection isnt all that fast either.

Dedicated modem just for consoles. Other games run fantastic. It's not the internet, it's typical JP handled online infrastructure for fighting games.

Ranked doesn't seem to work. Could never join a player match. And the SoCal region had a total of 5-9 players at any given time. One of those matches ran at 2-5 frame delay, which felt fine. Any netcode can handle local connections and run well.

GGXrd's netcode feels extremely close to Injustice. Can run well, doesn't run great.

Yeah we're both on wired connections and not uploading a ton of porn. It played well. I'll be on tonight. Are we going to have a GAF server that everyone goes on?

I'm just going to cross my fingers for when the PS3 patch hits so everyone has it.

I know some people say it's fine, but everyone has different levels of tolerance.

Hopefully it gets better.
