Apparently next episode is, finally, the first part of the movie (0079 alternate).

So does Episode 2 cover the entirety of the 0079 content from the movie? If so, it's disappointing....I was led to believe there was more to it, and it feels like a waste of a genuinely interesting story angle.
I also dislike the mech designs and the art style, and nothing that happened in the first episode really grabbed me. I'll probably give it one or two more, but after G-Witch I'm not confident in Sunrise's ability to make a compelling Gundam series.

No, it was longer in the movie, the rest was replaced by a quick narration. Hopefully we'll see the rest later but I doubt it.

yeah ep2 is missing the entire sequence of the second battle in Solomon. It's weird why it got omitted because it reveals very important context on Char motivation as well as showing moments leading up to the Zenknova incident which caused Char's disappearance.
