I dont really remember any of the fights to any great degree. The fights were not terrible in the show, but the show never had any internal consistency about how anything works, so it's pretty hard to get excited by the fights tbh.

It was quite consistent though, as long as you believed in the magic particles. Also not sure how that has anything to do with the fight being exciting, which they certainly were (well, except a couple of Sei and Reiji's final fights)

It's a good start, it pales compared to Bright's work though.

Because it's Gundam. It's like asking why not Mortal Combat?

Hey now, Gundam's tradition is to have stupid name for its characters, not the show itself. Also "Kombat" and "Combat" are phonetically identical at least, making it a stylistic choice more than anything

When you bring in turn A things get messy. Its best to not think about turn A's connections too much unless this series ends up directly referencing it.
